Забронировслс отель. Связалась с администратором отеля, который подтвердил, что меня ждут. И я приехала. Как мне было очень приятно, зайдя в номер. Меня действительно ждали как дорогого гостя. Я влюбилась в это место. Это то, что мне надо! Комната большая, светлая. Есть кондиционер, холодильник, чайник, чашки, стаканы, шкафы, стол, кресла. Кровать очень удобная, большая. Чувствую себя королевой. Комната с выходом на балкон. А от туда открывается вид на величественный океан. Как это красиво и завораживает. Когда засыпаешь под звуки океана и просыпаешься. А какие закаты это нечто. Место где отдыхает душа. Я продлила свое местонахождение. Решила, что искать больше не буду ничего. Хозяин отеля очень внимательный. Спрашивает все ли меня устраивает. Персонал клиентоориентированный. А какой завтрак. Заказывала ужин. Рыбу. Это очень вкусно. По цене ужин вышел в 3 раза дешевле чем в кафе. В океане сейчас в этом месте не поплавать. Но я не расстроилась. Есть чистый бассейн в котором можно плавать хоть когда. Отель сам находится не далеко от исторических мест. Ездела на тук-туке в поместье великого архитектора Д. Бува. По времени 15 мин. Так-же место знаменательно тем, что есть 48-метровая статуя сидящего Будды Самадхи, самая высокая на Шри-Ланке. Так, что локация крутая. Это место для людей которые устали от суеты. Место где можно подзаридится энергий острова. Спасибо большое хозяину отеля, который дал возможность мне это увидеть. Да, забыла написать я путешествую одна и самое главное это безопасность. Так вот я в безопассном месте.
This hotel is the gem. The rooms were fabulous. The private beach s the spotlight. I had a memorable stay here. I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relax !!!

Excellent location right on the beach with the sound of waves to fall asleep to and wake up with. Friendly helpful staff who were always there but not invasive or pushy. Good inexpensive food and juices, great breakfast, chef happy to adapt to your requests.

Nice breakfast - fruit, juice, coffee, the biggest pile of fresh toast with butter and nice jam, Sri Lankan omelette.
Basic room but perfect for what was needed - air con worked perfectly and nice view from room - straight out onto pool and beach view.

Not an issue but we had to keep asking to pay and were told later or tomorrow when the manager was in, we were finally able to pay when checking out but would have liked to have paid on arrival so we could budget our money a bit better for the stay.
Overall would stay again for relaxed, quiet stay.
Very quiet and out on its own with one other hotel next door and another along the beach. Not much to do around that area but food was served all day if hungry and perfect for our first couple of nights to chill and ease into the holiday.
Loved the beach access and the peace and quiet. It was away from the busy part of the town. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

In terms of value for money, this was so perfect. It exceeded my expectations given that I had to pay almost 1/3rd of the prices around the hotels nearby. You won't find a TV in your room here, but who needs a room when there is a nice view of a beach you can stare at all throughout the day.
Staff was so responsive and friendly. Food also was good.
We had a great stay at the Southern Star. Responsive lovely staff who did everything to ensure we had the best experience. The room was clean and fresh with a fantastic view over the beach. New fridge, new AC and a comfortable bed. The pool was cleaned immediately in the morning. The breakfast was good. The chef prepared the most amazing food. I ate devilled chicken two nights. The best "Devilled" I've eaten.
