A great week trip!
Pros:

Edward and his team was amazing. Welcomed me well and was really nice during the whole stay. Huge recommendation to the people who wants to choose golden tulip as their stay in Doha, Qatar. A great view from the suite! Loved every day of the trip. And thanks to the arrangement to be dropped at the airport, the staff was super nice and unfortunately I didn’t get the name. But the man who drove me needs a good raise!🙏🏼

Prima hotel voor niet te lang verblijf….
Pros:

Bedden okay, ontbijt prima,formaat kamer goed. Ontvangst prima.loakatie was prettig. Personeel prettig.

Airco blaast ook in je gezicht, in bed. Erg naar. Duiven koeren achter de raam, wat niet open kan. Veel geluid van die beesten.

Ibis Budget version of a 5* hotel
Pros:

The rooms are very spacious and the hotel is at a very comfortable walking distance from both NMoQ and MIA – and even the Souq and Msheireb areas if the weather is not too hot. The gym is clean and comfortable and the pool area, whilst small, is cozy.

Cons:

This hotel markets itself as 5* but it's closer to 3*. Whilst the rooms are spacious, everything else is subpar. The breakfast buffet is extremely disappointing (think Ibis Budget quality and variety), the amenities are tired, and the rooms have structural issues. I spent 8 nights there and occupied 2 rooms because they were out of king size bedrooms for my first night. The two rooms both presented the same issue: the windows wouldn't close completely. The seal didn't connect to the pane, making the room absolutely not soundproof. When I asked if I could take another room, I was told by the staff that all rooms were like this. Not sure if true or just a lie to avoid dealing with my issue, but disappointing in any case.

Beware of overbooking: you book, but may end up without a room
Pros:

We arrived at the hotel at 3:00 AM after more than 13 hours of travel, only to discover that our room was no longer available because it had been reassigned to another guest. This situation is unacceptable and shows a serious lack of consideration.

We were asked to wait in the lobby until 5:30 AM in case another guest checked out so that we could take their room. My sister and I had to sit there exhausted, with nowhere to rest after such a long journey. This experience was extremely distressing and inappropriate.

In addition, although I had booked a room for three people, we were initially given a room for only two, which forced us to change rooms again — causing further disruption and inconvenience.

This situation is shocking and unprofessional, especially for a hotel that is expected to offer comfort and quality service to its guests. I expect a prompt response and a satisfactory resolution.

Cons:

Despite having explained this situation several times, the hotel manager never came to speak with us, provide an explanation, or even offer an apology. Instead, he remained behind the reception staff to avoid taking responsibility for what happened. The staff also confirmed to me that this was not the first time this had occurred, that the hotel regularly overbooks rooms, leaving guests without accommodation while still charging twice for the same room.

Never ever again

I had a two-day reservation at the hotel. Without my consent and without properly checking my checkout date, the reception sent security personnel to my room and they attempted to enter it.

Approximately ten minutes before this incident, I had called the reception to ask for a phone charging adapter. I was told that there was none available. However, I later found out that this information was incorrect and that an adapter was in fact available.

Despite having just spoken to me by phone, no one attempted to contact me again before coming to my room. Instead, security was sent directly, and they tried to enter my room without my permission.

At that moment, my wife and my child were inside the room. This situation constituted a clear violation of my privacy. When I expressed this concern, I was met with an insincere apology and was told that “no problem occurred.” Furthermore, when I stated that my family’s privacy had been violated, the security staff responded by saying that they “did not see anything” and therefore there was no issue.

This response is unacceptable. The problem is not what was seen, but the fact that my room was approached and attempted to be entered without authorization, proper verification, or respect for personal and family privacy.
