Excellent location with seaview.
Not sure where to start from. Booking was for two peoplle. First question reception asked ' Are you on your own?" Clearly the booking is for 2 people as I wanted breakfast for both of us so I had to choose 2 adullts when I am booking. Then they asked my partners ID. This doesn't happen in most other hotelss. We stayed at Crown Plaa just couple of weeks ago. Holiday inn and Novotel didn't ask either. Then I was asked to pay extra 400 yuan in case i spend money and runaway. Well booking.com did not mention that. I could have open a few bottles of champagne than runaway. Anyway so rude to ask extra money. Booking.com and hotel has my card details. They could put it on my room account and charge me when I check out. So unprofessional and tastless. The reception staff was so rude , inexperienced in communication , raising her voice andd tring to justify their nonsense by raising her voice! Never ever again! Also design of the bathroom was terrible too!!!

Positives and room for improvement. Check in was awful as the staff were unfriendly, no smiles and no please or thank you. However, other team members were very pleasant. Perhaps they should be moved to the meet and greet.
The breakfast was exceptionally good. A wide variety and all warm. The staff and breakfast were wonderful.
I have to mention the gym. Although not big, the equipment was modern and the place modern.
The hotel is 5 star, unfortunately the check in staff are not.
