Just feeling comfortable and really safe

Beautiful trendy property with nice decor. Rooftop pool and view was lovely as were the staff. Convenient walk to Bangla Street, the beach, and area shopping. There was some construction going on around the property and the wave pool next door is a bit noisy but nothing bad enough to spoil our stay!

Convenient location to beach, stores, and restaurants.

What I liked:
The location of the property is good. Staff is friendly and helpful.
What I did not like:
Booking a taxi at reception is 50% costlier than on the street and no microwave in the room. Cafe has limited hours.

The hotel is well located next to anything you may need. The rooms are well decorated and clean. The staff was helpful, especially Meow. She would always greet us with a big smile; even as we were leaving on our last day, she walked with us to the van to say good bye.

Avoid – Noisy, Dishonest, and Poorly Managed

The Bloc Hotel in Patong was a deeply disappointing experience. The rooms are poorly soundproofed, cheaply renovated, and incredibly noisy. Despite advertising breakfast until 11am, the included voucher at the Coffee Club expired at 10:30 – a clear trap to catch guests out. Reception staff were unhelpful and dismissive when this was raised.

The hotel claims to ban outside guests after 3am, yet I was kept awake by the guest next door hosting an escort from 3am to 7am. Loud music, explicit conversations, and audible ‘activity’ filled the night. I called reception several times, but they did nothing. I informed them I would check out due to the disturbance and lack of action.

In the morning, staff denied any complaints were made, refused to confirm my early checkout, and declined to refund unused nights. No follow-up, no resolution – just outright refusal.

It became clear that the hotel turns a blind eye to this type of activity. The lobby atmosphere reinforced that it’s little more than a knocking shop disguised as a hotel.

There are far better options in Patong. This place is a scam – noisy, dishonest, and managed with complete disregard for guest experience. Avoid.

I had a great stay at the Block Hotel, it was clean, convenience, the ladies at the front desk was very helpful & attentive to my needs.

Horrible. I consider my self an easy going person and I spend the worse night in my life in this place. We have to take the mattress to the floor in front of the AC to receive a little fan breeze. If you don’t want to ruin one or two nights of your vacation do not book in this place

The staff here is absolutely incredible. They were warm and welcoming as well as extremely helpful. I would love to come back even if it was just to see the staff again!

Front desk staff.. All of them were awesome. I remember Nam and Meow, the two girls were super accommodating. Night shift the two gentlemen were also superb.
My group of friend were always hanging out in the lobby playing music qnd having our own drinks and we had no problems.

Good hotel and location but i didn't receive my VIP access for room upgrade

Excellent property if you want to watch lanterns or fireworks during special events or new years. The rooftop gives you the perfect view of everything. Almost on the main street so you'll hear all the music and partying at night but that's normal considering the area.
