Leider ist der fahrradraum viel zu vollgestopft. Das fahrrad geht davon kaputt.
Es dauert leider lange das man bedient wird und was zu trinken bestellen kann in der bar
Vriendelijk personeel, mooi hotel. Leul klein zwembad en sauna, niet te druk. Prima kamers. Geen koffie/thee op kamer, maar prima (uitgebreide) koffiecorner, met gratis producten.
Locatie niet in het centrum, wel fietsafstand. Aantal keer personeel moeten aanspreken op lege melk bij koffiemachine.

Die Matratzen waren sehr weich um nicht zu sagen durch
Geweldige locatie en een heel mooi hotel, vriendelijk personeel en de kamer was ruim, netjes en heel schoon. Top
Koffie of thee is helaas niet meer op de kamer zelf maar op de 2e etage vh hotel in het atrium. Daar was al een tijdje niks aangevuld of schoongemaakt. De kussens waren trouwens heel plat en er is geen kast met andere. Verder was het geweldig.
We werden hartelijk ontvangen en goed geholpen bij de receptie. Ontbijt was, zoals gewoonlijk, erg goed.
We hadden niet het idee dat de wc (goed) was schoongemaakt. De wc stonk erg naar urine en er zaten vlekken op de wc bril en op de vloer.
Bij het restaurant hadden wij een reservering gemaakt bij Bar Cherie, echter toen we daar aan kwamen werd er gezegd dat wij niet geholpen konden worden “want de tablet is er niet”. Wij moesten naar het andere restaurant, daar zouden wij verder geholpen worden. Echter, werden wij zonder uitleg bij Restaurant Groen geplaatst. De uitleg hebben wij ook niet gekregen.
Van der Valk Hotel Groningen actually has a lot going for it on paper. The rooms are nice and spacious, the breakfast is delicious and varied, and they have a great brand-new gym and a lovely pool 🏊♂️🏋️. We even rented their bikes and cycled all around Groningen, which was fantastic! 🚲💨
Unfortunately, the entire stay was completely ruined by one ridiculous experience... 🤦♂️
The "Green Option" Trap:
The hotel offered us two free drinks if we opted out of room cleaning for a day. Sounded like a sweet deal! We agreed and simply asked for fresh towels instead.
Fast forward to our final evening: we sat down to enjoy our "free" drinks, only to be told that the voucher apparently didn't apply to "expensive" drinks—only basic soft drinks, wine, or beer 🍷🍺.
After a long and frustrating argument, we ended up paying €20 for two drinks, while receiving zero room cleaning AND zero fresh towels 🧻❌. Talk about a downgrade!
Verdict:
It was the absolute worst trade deal in hotel history. We felt completely tricked, and for that reason alone, we will never accept a deal like that again—and we won't be coming back to this hotel. 2 stars! 👎🍸

Er lag nog een gebruikte budplug onder het nachtkastje/tafeltje bij aankomst
Prima verblijf, zakelijk.
Personeel is wat afstandelijk, niet onvriendelijk, maar ook niet erg vriendelijk.
