Portsmouth hotel
Pros:

Hotel is across the road from the train station, also a taxi rank and buses run from the train station with excellent transport links. 5 mins drive from Hovertravel to the Isle of Wight. Royal Dockyard museums are across the road 1 min walk. Chippy and pub next door with a good chinese restaurant on the corner, shopping centre nearby also. Our room had a view of HMS warrior. Room had spacious king sized bed with ensuite toilet and shower. TV and kettle provided aswell as a hairdryer. Staff had provided a fan in the room as the weather was extremely hot. Good choice of food provided for breakfast. Friendly staff always happy to help. Hotel is in an excellent location.

Cons:

Cant complain when everything is on your doorstep.

Enjoyable stay, comfy room and welcoming staff
Pros:

Location was excellent and staff very friendly and welcoming and great to be able to get one of the hotels parking spaces. Room was spacious and overlooked the harbour.

Cons:

Was a pity there is no air con in rooms esp as was a hot weekend but there was a fan in the room and we where able to leave the window open a little as high enough up not to worry on anyone getting in.

Pros:

The breakfast was excellent and the staff were kind, pointing out places nearby and helping me switch out a fan. The location was excellent, next to the Portsmouth harbour train station and historic waterfront. The shower strength was good.

Cons:

The fixtures in the room were cheap and worn. The bathroom fan made a loud, inconsistent noise. The hotel would improve customer comfort by doing very few things, like fixing the bathroom ventilator, and perhaps replacing some of the furniture with quality pieces more in keeping with the history of the building.

Pros:

The breakfast tasty and the selection good. The location was within 5 minutes from the Royal Navy dockyard i wanted to visit.
It's close location to the Railway Station made the journey to the hotel walkable.
The room facilities were good apart from the shower which I will give a comment later.

Cons:

There was only one thing of note and that was the shower installation.
The shower head consisted of a sliding door enclosure containg a shower with a large overhead shower head withba smaller hand held onwith flexible hose located in the clamp adjusting the shower's height.
The diverter control to allow water to be fed to either the top or flexible head was vertually impossible to operate when covered in shower spray whilst showering.
The shower tray was very slippy and dangerous when showering with shower gel or shampoo.

Walking distance from everything. Watch the ships from your window.
Pros:

Great location right on the waterfront. Secure parking and a very nice hot breakfast was included.

Cons:

The hotel is diagonally across from the bus depot. So the bus noise never stops. Get a room to the back if you’re a light sleeper

A really nice place to stay
Pros:

The location is great - right on the seafront and easy access to the Portsmouth Naval Museum and the Gunwharf Quays shopping centre, and the Spinnaker Tower. The rooms were just fine - all you need is a bed and a bathroom after all! Food is breakfast only, and good quality. Not a huge range (cereals, pastries, English breakfast), but definitely adequate and means you don't need a midday snack! Think of the Ship Leopard as more of a high-quality B&B rather than a hotel. Defo stay there again :)

Cons:

Mattresses a bit firm! That was the only downer for me.
