Kind and helpful people. Room great. Across the road from bus station, historic dockyard and Gunwharf Outlet shopping.
Pros:

Perfect location for exploring Portsmouth
Pros:

Great positionnext to the Dockyard and harbour tour. Very close to Portsmouth Harbour Station, Gunwharf Quays and the passenger catamaran to the Islle of Wight.
Staff very friendly. Great breakfast

Pros:

A nice hotel, in a great location, with very pleasant staff. My room was very small, but the bathroom and shower were large. The hotel was very clean throughout. I particularly enjoyed the excellent cooked breakfast, served in a very pleasant room.

Perfect for visiting the historic naval dockyard, old Portsmouth and ferries. Would return.
Pros:

The room was advertised with 'a side view'. The room was advertised as being compact. Both came as no surprise but the room itself and the bed size (King) were fine and suited our purpose.The location was perfect for the historic naval dockyard. The staff were polite and attentive. The breakfast was plentiful amd well presented. Secure onsite parking was really useful. We enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

We would have preferred a larger room. but ours was a late booking and we took the last room available. That's not a dislike, there has to be a smallest room in any hotel. Not plush, but every effort made to create a sense of style, again, not a dislike. No real dislikes at all. It's obvious that a genuine effort is made to ensure guests are satisfied.

Pros:

The location is perfect, right next to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, The Spinnaker tower and Gunwharf Quays Centre which was full of great shops and restaurants.

The hotel itself was comfy and the staff were very friendly, we really enjoyed our stay.
