Cannot fault 'The Coed-y-Mwstwr' every 8nch of this hotel is immaculate, well organised, well run, friendly, homely, staffed to good level woth happy attentive friendly staff. What a great place, we will definately be back again and hopefully soon and for longer. Thankyou everyone.
Lovely remote location ,excellent food and nice golf course adjacent
Amiable and courteous staff.. Nice facilities and location.. Food is of a high standard.. Bedroom clean..
Fantastic stay in a clean hotel with amazing friendly staff. Food was top notch too.
We had a wonderful stay had a slight problem in the beginning that was dealt with professionally and efficiently.
Really great hotel - fully recommend.
However, Room 8 needs a desk lamp or lamp over the mirror otherwise there is no light at that end of the room unless you put all the main lights on. Also the ceiling in bedroom and bathroom needs some repairs. Also has a view over the kitchen extractors which start up at 6.30am!
Nice hotel, and good breakfast. Felt a little let down with the premium room that I paid more for (room 10). Shower was not usable and water pressure / temperature was way too inconsistent. Also, there was no TV remote in the room.
Staff is friendly. Location is quiet and beautiful.
Rooms would benefit from an upgrade.
A lovely venue with attentive staff. There was an initial mix up with check in where the room I was allocated wasn’t made up, but this was resolved and I ended up with an upgrade.
This is a lovely hotel in a rural setting but relatively close (around 10min) to the M4. Driving up the narrow lane to the hotel set the mood for me, quiet and tranquil.
The staff throughout the stay were friendly and accomodating.
This was a business trip and we hosted a business dinner at the restaurant. The service was very good as was the food. Again the entire approach was very relaxed which allowed for a great evening.
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Even though the building is quite old (wooden floor boards, etc.) there was no noise issues. Everything in the room was spotless.
The only minor point is that the hotel is quite old but well maintained but it is showing it's age in some areas. This is nothing that would put me off staying there again and would recommend it for families too. I would love to return and have some spare time to explore some of the hotels other amenities.
Great location and views. Staff fantastic
Beautiful, old hotel, and a very beautiful property overlooking the lights in the valley and the city of Cardiff. Incredible stay. Highly recommend.
Fabulous hotel with tremendous staff and absolutely stunning surroundings stayed over night for a wedding couldn’t fault it comfortable rooms with terrific shower definitely going to return
Another stay at the Coed-Y-Mwstwr hotel.
Welcoming rooms and really friendly staff.
Didn’t dine this time due to late arrival and early start but great comfortable room and excellent facilities
This was a one night stay en route to west Wales from Essex. The hotel is high up on a hill, giving beautiful views over the valley. Our room in The Coach House (CH2) was large, quiet and extremely comfortable. One word of advice, do not open the radiator thermostat too much otherwise, if you get up during the night, you will find the room is really warm!
Breakfast is served in the main house, with continental & Full Welsh cooked breakfast available. All the food we had was excellent.
Hotel was lovely set in a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful.
