Our stay at the Gold Hotel in Istanbul was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The staff were shockingly rude and unhelpful from the start. They only checked my mother’s and aunt’s cards, didn’t assist us with our luggage, and never explained anything about breakfast or the facilities. They even kept our passports without asking and acted irritated when I asked for them back—three times—before reluctantly handing them over.

Communication was almost impossible since none of the staff spoke even basic English (not even A1–A2 level), which made every simple question or request frustrating.

To make things worse, the airport shuttle booked through Booking.com never arrived because the driver went to the wrong airport. After we waited for two hours, he had the nerve to ask if we wanted a taxi instead—for 70 euros! Complete scam behavior.

The room smelled bad, was tiny, and the bathroom had a constant unpleasant odor. The staff looked annoyed just seeing guests, as if we were interrupting their day. The only good thing about this hotel is its location, and that’s the only reason we survived the stay—by spending all day out and only coming back to sleep.

Avoid this place completely. Rude, dishonest, and not worth a single cent.

Неплохой отель по соотношению цена-качество и удобства расположения.
Pros:

Прекрасное расположение. Трамвай в 100 метрах, метро в 400 метрах, Гранд Базар в 1 остановке, мечети, базилики, автобус в аэропорт - все рядом. Завтрак хороший: выглядит очень обширным, но по факту там куча каких-то странных приправ и салатиков, хотя все необходимое тоже есть. Вид с заявленной терассы, к сожалению, весьма слабенький, перегорожен всякими пристройками соседей, и нет открытой зоны (по крайней мере зимой, летом не знаю). Персонал дружелюбный. Вечером на ресепшене можно попить кофе (платно, но недорого) и есть бесплатные печеньки. В номерах кондиционеры, которые не отключены и работают на нагрев (зимой актуально). Улица под окнами довольно тихая.

Несмотря на недостатки, в следующий раз буду рассматривать его как вариант. Только номер нужно требовать нормальный, если попадется "урезанный".

Cons:

(Описываю объективные недостатки подробно для информации: их большое количество не означает, что проживание совсем некомфортно). У нас было два номера. Один хороший и в нем было все нормально. А второй очень урезанный. Там был огромный короб в потолке над кроватью, короб занял угол комнаты, в общем, от 15 метров там осталось, не знаю, 10. И малюсенькая ванная: вдушевой кабинке мыться было вообще невозможно (см. фото), ходили мыться во второй номер. В обоих номерах мебели практически нет. ОДНА малюсенькая тумбочка, малюсенький столик-полочка, на который не влезает нормально даже ноутбук, место под ним занято холодильником и ОДИН пуфик. Это на весь номер из двух человек. Шкаф для вещей ОДИН и находится в дальнем конце номера, нет ни вешалки у двери, ничего: уличные вещи все время лежали на кровати. ДВЕ розетки на весь номер. Двери номеров хлопают очень громко, слышимость как всегда полная что в коридор. что соседей. Комфорт номеров прямо сильно оставляет желать лучшего. WiFi работает, но очень медленно: не больше 1 МБит/с. На ресепшене терминал для карт есть, но не работает Paypass/Paywave: оплатить телефоном невозможно.

Für wenige Nächte genug...
Pros:

Super Lage, direkt an der Tram... alles easy mit der Istanbul Card erreichbar.
Kostenloser Tee in der Lobby unten ist angenehm.
Betten sind sehr bequem.

Cons:

Es war leider Tag und Nacht extrem laut.
Tagsüber eine Baustelle im EG, das ist verkraftbar, da man ja eh unterwegs ist. Nachts hört man alles, was auf der Straße passiert. Das stört irgendwann doch sehr, trotz Nebensaison.
Das Frühstück ist absolut gewöhnungsbedürftig, lohnt sich nicht, wenn man eh gutes, türkisches Frühstück in der Stadt isst.
Ansonsten für wenige Nächte ausreichend.
