Brilliant location. Grounds exceptional.
Historical connections to 617 Squadron.
Everything about this place is exceptional from checking in to checking out, you are treated has a guest and shown respect nothing is to much trouble and no question is to silly.
There is nothing to dislike, apart from having to leave
Location for wedding excellent, hotel decor very good, staff very good
The bed mattress was horrendous, very soft, to bouncy. The room was flooded with light at night time, through top, bottom, and side of door..
No sleep, totally fatigued.
Informed hotel manager via email, no reply.
The location in the woods and with the grounds is outstanding.
It was very strange that was no bread option at breakfast other than boring old sliced bread. Don't they have baguettes / French sticks in Lioncolnshire?
Everything from room to staff, food, location
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, food very nice room comfortable lovely grounds and history to the hotel enjoyable stay
A few cobwebs in the room, someone elses pill on bathroom floor still had a relaxing stay though
Great location and grounds, interesting historical building, friendly courteous staff. Great value for money.
Some parts of decor/ fittings/ furnishings slightly tired, but the character and charm more than made up for this. Coffee at breakfast tasted filter/ instant where many give ground now, though it was served by staff along with the toast which is always a much better experience than queuing at some kind of self service machine.
Fantastic history with 617 Squadron
Beautiful location. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Rooms were clean with all facilities stated.
Bed was a bit soft, but that is personal choice.
Lovely hotel in beautiful gardens & steeped in dambusters history. Really helpful & pleasant staff. Have stayed here many times & will do so again.
Excellent Breakfast, very clen room and bathroom. The wartime mess bar with its memorabilia was absolutely fascinating
The setting and grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly always have a smile and happy to help.
I would throughly recommend to anyone.
Nothing
Like the history of the hotel and the staff were lovely. The twin room was alright for a one night stay. I liked the soft mattress.
I booked through Trivago where I selected a ground floor, wheelchair easy access room. Somehow, we didn't get this room and as disabled customers ended up on the second floor.
The breakfast was disappointing especially when we were described that there would be big bowls of fruit. Instead a small lidded kinder jar with just a few grapes, apples and a bit of pineapple was presented. My companion didn't manage to get one and they were not replenished. I wasn't keen on the cooked breakfast and would have preferred a buffet style to make my own choice so I could avoid over greasy etc food. My friend really enjoyed their salmon with scrambled eggs but we both thought the pot of tea didn't taste quite right. So not good value. Some customers also attended breakfast in their pyjamas.
