We would come again. Visitors would be advised to book north facing bedrooms in the peak of summer.

We had a south facing room which was uncomfortably hot when we arrived on 17 July. It was a hot day and it would have been nice to have an air coditioned room or at least one was not so hot. Even with the fan running all night the nights weren't comfortable. My mattress had sagged with age. Pity because the south facing rooms have the best view. I would recommend that when finance allows the hotel is refurbished with low solar gain glazing and brise soleils to the south facing windows. Windows would benefit from larger opening areas. Investigate whether hot water disribution could benefit from renewed foil faced insulation to the pipework and insulated pipe suspension. Bedrooms could be fitted with ceiling fans. If all this is insufficient consider air conditioning.

The staff were very bad mannered. When we arrived at the hotel, we were confronted by the assistant manager, who didn't greet us in a nice way, we weren't told about checking out times, breakfast times, fire exits and before he would even let us near our room, he insisted that we had to go back to the car park to place a permit in our cars. When we got back in the hotel, he didn't show us to our room. He was very rude. The room was dirty, which I have photos of, dead bugs on the window sills (inside & out) in the bedroom and the bathroom. Also, a few live bugs on the bathroom. The toilet roll was empty and the towels had makeup on them which wasn't mine. Overall, it was a horrendous stay and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!
