The Avalon is a beautiful hotel, great location, clean, safe, and the staff is phenomenal!
Location, shared facilities with The Hollander, the shuttle
Room AC was inadequate
Natalie was so helpful, gave great recommendations for sightseeing.
me and my husband stayed at the avalon last friday and we had the best night ever larissa and natalie were incredible at check in made us feel so welcome and gave great recommendations. the place is such a cool environment and everyone was so nice! cannot wait to be back!
The eclectic atmosphere and the customer service
The small rooms and bathroom
Location to the baseball park
It was not very clean, there was a roach about 2-3 inches long in our bedroom the first night, there was no ventilation in the bathroom whatsoever and the toilet was about 5 inches away grom the wall in front of it
The entrance was very inviting, there was a patio with chairs, tables, fans and decor. The lobby was so nice. The check in clerk was nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a sister hotel across the walkway where you are free to use their amenities and they have a restaurant and bar that was nice.
N/A
Coffee and cookies in morning, drinks offered in evening, water bottles on hand, can use amenities next door, shuttle to downtown
Room was old, small, dark, and musty. In wall a/c very loud, curtains did not block light
This hotel was adorable very clean excellent food and the staff were fantastic. Definitely would come back. Nice pool area at their sister location next door.
Parking can be a challenge, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Larissa. I would definitely stay here again. Centrally located in downtown St Pete
The room was cozy
Beautiful
Brian at front desk set the tone for an absolutely flawless overnight stay!
Everything from the immaculate, well appointed suite, to the beautiful swimming pool and Tiki bar everything was perfect!
Absolutely no reason to drive all the way to South Beach when I can stay at the Avalon/Hollander Hotel in St. Petersburg!
Been coming for years…gets better every time! Keep up the great work, guys!
Upgraded to a suite! Incredible effort to make sure I had the best experience possible. Just incredible!
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
This a very trendy (hip) vibe hotel. The charm of the buildings age from 1930 spoke for itself. The room was comfortably set up with a king bed. Yes the bathroom is a bit small, but I wanted to spend my time in town sightseeing nit in my room. And after a long day I spent time on the open air front patio and relaxed and people watched. Great music playing. Parking my car was convenient in the private lot. I spent time at the Hollander hotel, bar, and restaurant next door having drinks and dinner, then went back to the Hollander in the morning and had a coffee drink and and apple cinnamon apple stuffed muffin.
The only drawback I felt was in the morning. There was not a "breakfast" item to get. Coffee and tea were served, and there was a platter of cookies. I would have better enjoyed a granola bar or piece of fruit.
