Это очень старый Мариот, который не соответствует бренду Мариот. Очень плохой ремонт в номерах, персонал даже на ресепшен не говорит на английском. Но, нужно сказать, что, если бы ни очень приветливый, заботливый персонал, то впечатление от отеля осталось бы крайне негативное. Стаф спас ситуацию, особенно в ресторане

Pros:

Check in reception: very good
Reception via call from room: very good and prompt response even late evening.
Check out reception: not as good as check-in. I know I have to wait for the receptionist to complete the conversation with a guest before me. I hope the receptionist realize I am heavily loaded with back/front and try to address it quick if possible. By the time I handover the room key for checkout, the process is almost done in a blink but waiting time in such situation can be handled much better.
Waiting area: should have place to rest nearer to the reception counter to avoid this situation.

Special thank yo the laundry service: prompt, on time and great packing

Breakfast: Good range of selection.
Small issue with the staff around to clean up: should pay more attention to the person is eating while he is doing the cleaning near by: either wait or relocate the person for cleaning.

Spa service: better if you can provide a basket for guest to put the stuff in without putting them to the chair.

A very pleasant memorable stay.
Pros:

Receptionist Dyah, Lintang and Rahel were exceptional. As I came at the period when Surabaya had riot at the city, Dyah advised me to avoid that area. The hotel gave me a surprise on my birthday day. Rahel contacted me wished me happy birthday and the hotel gave a birthday cake. I was touched by the gesture. All the staffs at the hotel always make eye contact, greet and smile. Very polite. Thank you to all, sincerely from the bottom of my heart, for the memorable stay.

Pros:

Fair hotel. Clearly needs some upgrades. Rooms are basic. Hotel is on a very busy and loud street and surrounded by mosques. Restaurant is just ok. Employees are very friendly and helpful though. Rooftop and pool is outdated.
