We got there and there was a note on the door saying the hotel was repossessed as and they still took payment out of my account do I’m now in the middle of trying to get money back,
Property was closed with a sign on the door. They tried to charge me anyway. Terrible!
The hotel stopped operating in July
The hotel does not exist yet booking.com advertises this on their site!
My wife has stayed here in the past and liked it, however, this place is currently closed and up for sale (Sep 2025). We arrived on a friday night after making a booking a couple of months prior. The doors were locked, curtains all drawn and no lights on. No response when ringing bell or knocking. On calling the 'hotel contact number' we were connected to a foreign call centre who were of little help, and Hotels.com are refusing to refund our payment because they cant get approval from a manager... He's legged it!
This hotel is closed and has been for several weeks.
Place is closed down and has been repossessed
Closed down
We had prepaid for the night. But when we arrived at the hotel the entire hotel was closed. Without us being informed about it. There were signs in the window that it was closing 14 days before. Neither OYO (the Indian owner) who owns the hotel nor Booking.com can be communicated with and they will not give us compensation.
They are still renting out the closed hotel really bad service

Since the property was closed and had obviously been so for some while I found myself with no accommodation in Durham despite the fact that I had been charged by booking.com for my stay 3 days before my arrival. Along with several other people I spent a long time on the phone to booking.com to gain redress and was not impressed by the quality of your customer service team
I did not enjoy anything about the property as when we arrived the hotel had been reposed by the land lord on 25th July and had no email or nothing to tell me that the hotel would not be able to honour the booking so I drove a hour and a half to have to drive home on my girlfriends birthday not really acceptable to be perfectly honest still waiting for my money back I think it’s really poor from booking.com as well that they are still advertising a property that no longer exists
Nothing place is closed down and still taking bookings
Didn’t stay place is Closed down and still taking bookings avoid
Nothing, It's a scam.
Everything. It's a scam. The hotel has been closed for over a month, days before our reservation.
It has been closed since 25th July 2025.
Nothing closed not got told it been closed since July
Nothing
The building was closed as it had been repossessed by the landlord and I turned up on the day of check inn and could not complete my stay after being charged by the hotel.
Nothing, the hotel was closed when we arrived with a sign on the door advising it has gone into receivership!
We had to find another hotel and request a refund which still hasn't arrived.
See above, the hotel is still being sold on booking.com and other websites and it isn't even open!
Not one thing as i paid over £320 to go and the property is closed down with repossession papers on the window … when contacting booking. Com they told me they will raise a case … raise a case after me travelling 30 mile and had plans … didnt even ask us to book another hotel for me absolute disgrace
