Villa in Blue

Great property on the ocean. Tastefully designed room. Nice bed. Nice deck, great pool. Excellent restaurant. Great breakfast. Great staff.

Fantastic room, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Good restaurant, Great staff, immaculate pool. Really quiet at night. We had a huge thunderstorm one night and it was so cozy.

The room was bigger then I expected, I loved the open plan shower tucked behind a half wall. I loved the fact they had complementary water daily. It was clean to a very good standard.
The food at the restaurant was nice, very good portions. Although I couldn't eat the whole pizza but I just got it in a "doggy bag" and put it in my room fridge for lunch the next day.
The lighting around the ground was good at night.
My main reason for staying here was the fact they had the Dive Society on site.

This is a nice place with a beautiful setting. The staff was friendly and helpful. They do charge for everything and it is probably a wee bit more expensive because of that than other comparable locations. WiFi was flaky.

Villa in Blue was a good choice because it was very private, tucked away in a quiet annex area of Sea Dreams Resort. But connectivity was the trade off for privacy. Would not have been an issue except we had to coordinate plans with our local driver-guide. Our sea view room on the ground floor was perfectly positioned, with the option to use our porch access as front door. The room was clean and spacious, but I would have preferred more seating options. A 2-seater couch would have been nice. The water was less than 10 m from the room, but there wasn't much of a beach to speak of. It was rocky. So even though the water was clear and inviting in the marine sanctuary, it was a struggle to get in. Food options were also scarce, because other than the hotel restaurant, there is nothing within walking distance from the resort, and transportation was a slight problem because flagging down a tricycle along the main road just outside the resort was something left too much to chance. But we managed to resolve these issues with some advanced planning. All in all, we had a wonderful 5-night stay and I would recommend Villa in Blue to friends.
