Pros:

Food was great, room was lovely, pleasent staff on duty on arrival, nice atmosphere

Cons:

Abrupt morning staff, not very accommodating, not very nice attitude, and not courteous towards us, terrible atmosphere

Pros:

Hotels staff very friendly and welcoming, nic3 cl3an spacious rooms, the price for a night plus breakfast is well worth it and the breakfast was amazing. Will definitely recommend to others and will be booking again in the near future

Pros:

The Breakfast was superb. Room was a good size. The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

I didn't like the noise outside the Angel going on till 2.30am Other than that it was a lovely place to stay.

Good location, friendly staff good value
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff the hotel was what was expected good value and central to the forest of dean

Cons:

Bed a little creaky bathroom hairdryer didn’t work the hotel is a little tiered.
Had the sirloin steak asked for it rare and got medium we did get two drinks to compensate

Cons:

Old fashioned iron bed frame with cast legs that stuck out far enough to catch your shins. Bathroom smelt of cigarette smoke.

Great stay would stay here again.
Pros:

The breakfast provided was excellent. This was a booking made on the day and they were very accommodating. The room had a double and two singles ( family room). The room was very clean and welcoming. There was tea and coffee in the room.

Perfect for a short break in the Forest of Dean
Pros:

Ideal location for exploring the Forest of Dean. Clean and comfortable room, Breakfast was excellent. Staff were welcoming.
We have stayed here a number of times and the hotel is good value for money. An excellent Tapas restaurant next door is a bonus.

Cons:

The hotel is opposite the market place. It was a little noisy at closing time on Friday night, but nothing serious.

Nice town and very conveniently placed to access everything.
Pros:

The breakfast was very nice.

Cons:

Was disappointed with not having a meal in the evening, despite booking a table. Was told whilst having a drink in the bar just before our booked time, that the chef wasn’t coming in, we would have to find alternative dining in the town.

Pros:

breakfast was great could not fault that, room was good size but quite run down, bad smell of damp, floors all uneven ( we know its an old building but that needs looking in to ) shower run from the tapes no pressure. secondary glassing missing street noise load as the bus terminal was right out side the hotel, only a problem for front occupants.
