Convenient and comfortable for a short, one-night stay
Pros:

We booked this last minute and it was clean, comfortable and fine for a 6-hour sleep, just off the highway

Cons:

The building and facilities were a bit on the older side, but it was fine for a one-night, last minute stay

Only problem was the room, everything else was great.
Pros:

The staff was absolutely fantastic. The location to Kings Dominion was great. Great view of the fireworks if you didn't want to stay in the park or parking lot. I am unsure of the managers name but she was amazing she was there when we checked in and and checked out. We checked out early due to heat illness. We received the one day back as a refund. I would stay again, just in a different room.

Cons:

Pretty much the room overall. As soon as we walked in we used the bathroom. There was toilet paper still in the toilet and toilet did not flush properly as if it has a blockage, so maybe something to look into. Definitely maybe another pillow so theres 4 instead of 3 pillows, was a little awkward for 2 guests. The next thing we noticed was the lock on the door was broken not sure if its the extra security lock but we could not lock it. The next thing was there was a piece of toilet paper in the peep hole on the door. I did question how well the room was inspected and cleaned but we were there for the park and to just sleep.

Not so great visit to Doswell
Pros:

Location was close to event we were attending.

Cons:

Front desk made me wait for help while she finished her phone call with what sounded like her mother. Was there because we needed towels. We were there for three nights and room was never cleaned or refreshed towels/ linen.
The was also a robbery and a murder and we needed to rent another room at another hotel since we could not get back to our room and had none of our stuff
Toilet in room was loose and wobbly, tv not working correctly. Got an additional $45 charge that I have no idea what it is for.
Also the grounds were covered in dog poop. You could barely walk without stepping in it.

We won’t be staying here again.

It was close to the theme park and that was it.

Cons:

When we arrived and got our room as soon as we stepped in the floor was so sticky. Your shoes would almost stick to it. The dispensers for all the soaps were completely out, shower curtain was moldy. The tub and sink both had cracks in them. The toilet was just running water inside the bowl nonstop so I could hardly sleep.
