Price was a little high, albeit the amenities were very nice. Main issue was only 1 of 3 elevators were in operation. Not the end of the world, but mildly inconvenient in today’s world.
The corner room view was fantastic! The pool was perfect - perfect warmed temperature, very pretty pool, beautiful view, and very clean.

Hotel is located in a downtown area surrounded with late night life activities and a view of the city or the river. If you like sleep, don’t get a river view room on a lower floor as you will hear the people on the street yelling and honking their horns late at night as waterside district and their parking garage is on this side of the building. From check in, staff was helpful with check-in and getting bags to the room. The on-site restaurants were great and staff were awesome. The restaurant Grain’s food offerings were not as delicious as the restaurant Saltine. Highly, highly recommended the crafted cocktails from Saltine. Our bartender Carter was awesome and attentive and made perfect cocktails. I have stayed at other hilton hotels and I will say the bed sheets at this one were not very soft at all and felt more like a sheet of paper. Parking garage is on-site for hotel.

The only thing I would say is that in my room, it was really cold even though I had the temperature on heat at the highest temperature. I did contact reception and they sent someone over but it was never fixed. Other than that everything was perfect
I have some mixed reviews on this property.
First, let me start by saying that it is an absolutely lovely property. It is nice and it is a great retreat right near the waterfront in Norfolk. In fact, if you can snag a water view, it is a great view from your room.
The rooms are also very nice. I was traveling on business. The bathrooms are spacious and look very newly updated. The bedroom is equally as nice with wonderful beds, newer looking carpet, great pillows and also great storage and wonderful Wifi.
I ate at the Grain restaurant at the hotel, and the restaurant was delicious.
Our company was having a conference at the hotel, and the entire staff was also great
My main issue, and it was a big one was that there was a constant marijuana smoker on my floor. It was so bad on my first full day, that I reported it twice. The housekeeper and I just looked at the smoke coming out from under the door of the room. It was crazy evident what room it was coming from. She reported it to the front desk (as did I shortly after), and they response was that they could charge them once they checked out; however, they would never approach them during there stay. They also refused to let me move rooms. They are constantly smoking. Even right now, as I write this review on my final night -- it is absolutely terrible. It is shockingly bad when you enter the floor from the elevator, and just as bad in my actual room. Just terrible, that they do not want to take any action on it. It really is a lowlight, to what could be an otherwise great stay.
The brunch buffet at The Grain on Sunday was a 100 out of 10. Fresh food, tons of variety and wonderful staff.

Can I please take a moment to tell you, I was trying to check in there for a work conference I attend yearly and I was having a small personal crisis. When I tell you that LaCreasha went so far above and beyond to not only make me at ease, but to accommodate and assist me, it’s an understatement. Five star service, hands down.
Arrived after a 10 hour drive, intending to valet park and get help with our stuff, including clothes on hangers.
Pull up and after stating I needed the car in an hour the guy directed me to park across the street in a space that was immediately taken before I could U turn.
SO had to park a bit further from the entrance and across the street. Ended up schlepping our bags and stuff, but the guy DID open the door to the hotel!
Check in was pleasant and flawless, but we’re still juggling our gear.
Get up to the room, seems fine, but no TV remote. Phone works to get one from maintenance after a bit, but we needed to get ready and attend a family function. Just all kinda stressful.
Here’s the deal killer for me. We discover that the frosted glass bathroom barn door DOES NOT CLOSE! There is a stopper, obviously stout and deliberate, holding the door open a good 4 inches, with a decent view of the throne from the desk, if you get my drift.
We’ve been married 46 years and learned some new things we didn’t need to know!
I kid, but the lack of any attenuation to sounds, smells and humidity was different…why?
I can’t imagine fostering a romantic getaway in a room this factual!

Location was perfect
The only problem we had was waiting for the elevators! We waited at least 20-30 min for one to come .
