Pool and patio area was clean, great location to where we needed to go.
Location very good for my visit.
All was well.
Just about everything in this property was awesome. Staff on all shifts were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room was clean, very comfortable and well stocked. Great hot breakfast that varied a little bit from day-to-day but always had many good hot and cold options. We will definitely want to stay here again.
It was a pleasant stay, nothing sensational but definitely nothing bad - so I would DEFINITELY stay here again. We were in the area for an unplanned family emergency, so we weren't seeking a lot, but these guys run a good ship!
Nothing I didn't like.
I agree with the 4/13/25 TripAdvisor reviewer. You would think management would have made improvements based on his observations 6 months ago. I will repeat some negatives he mentioned, plus add more of my own personal experiences.
Starting with the negatives:
For Friday and Saturday nights, one of the two elevators was broken. This meant everyone staying on the upper floors (It’s 4 floors high.) shared ONE elevator. At times, it was slow getting from the 4th floor to the 1st floor, because people on the other floors (including cleaning staff) were using the same elevator.
Yesterday, I watched a male (dressed in black with a black backpack on) remove an electric scooter from the back rack of a nice van located just steps from the front doors of the hotel—-in broad daylight—-and take off on foot with the stolen scooter!
When leaving the hotel this morning, I saw another obviously homeless man with his “belongings” strewn about him—-including a huge tree limb—-sitting at the bus stop adjacent to the parking lot. Not good!
Whomever is in charge of the dining room, kitchen staff and food—> you should be fired! Yesterday and this morning, at 9 am (Breakfast is until 10 am Sat. and Sun.), there was very limited silverware. It’s as if the kitchen staff doesn’t stay on top of what is being used/running out —- and it’s frustrating that I had to find a kitchen staff member to request forks and spoons. Today, there was no yogurt. I asked, and was told that they ran out of yogurt. Are you kidding me? That was a first. What hotel doesn’t keep ample supplies of yogurt and bottled milk on hand. Yes, the bottled milk was either not there, or there were a FEW bottles at 9 am. The other person from the April review of this hotel mentioned the eggs were one big blob. Yep! Very unappealing. The bacon was cooked so long, it was extra crispy with a lot of pieces burned! The egg croissants had all been eaten when we got there this morning. I asked if the kitchen staff could put more out, and even though she didn’t speak English, she let me know there were none left. Forget grapes, strawberries, or any cut fresh fruit. We saw nothing like that—-not even a banana both mornings that we went down for breakfast. I gave NEVER seen sausages in such tiny pea-sized shapes, and that was a hard “no!” for me. Guests took their own dishes to the trash can area when finished. And yes, there needs to be more seating—-proper tables and chairs! The entire breakfast experience—-both mornings—-was a huge disappointment! I did discuss this with the lady who was at the front desk, since the kitchen staff could not speak English and they went to get her. …No apology or any offer of goodwill. And I was not the only guest asking for the missing food! Our 3-year-old grandson was with us, and yogurt is always his go-to breakfast. Well, apparently not this morning! We were scrounging around trying to find something else to feed him! And to think, I paid $235 total for 1 night for this “breakfast included” experience. Come on. Do better! There is NO excuse for running out of food!
The swimming pool is not heated, and it was too cold to use. The hot tub was too hot, and ants were all around it. Our grandson was bitten by an ant at the hot tub, and was too scared to stay there. I mentioned this to the front desk. The small pool towels are barely acceptable for use. They are certainly NOT pool sized.
Last night, we lost electricity for 45 minutes. We had to eat our left-over meal cold from the fridge, since there was no electricity to use the microwave.
The a/c comes on and off and is LOUD when it cycles. If you like a consistent sound when trying to sleep, use a “white noise” app on your smart phone to sleep.
The shower floor was discolored and slippery.
There was no small container of dish detergent in the kitchen. There was no extra paper towel or a few extra garbage bags.
All of the above screams out to me to be “cost cutting” measures that a hotel charging over $200 a night should happily provide as “standard.”
The positive:
It is a nice, modern hotel, and the room was spacious and clean. There was not a lot of highway noise, which was surprising considering how close the rooms that face Highway 290 are located. The mattress was very comfortable (firm), and the sheets and towels were crisp and clean. The a/c kept the room very cool.
Personally, the negatives outweighed the positives. With so many hotels to choose from in Austin, this one will NOT get our business the next time we are in town.
Coffee was too strong. Eggs did not look too appetizing.
The hotel was nice and everything was clean. We loved the layout of the room we had. Breakfast was great and pool/gym were pleasant. The only issue was the condition of the shower and an odd smell in our room.
Very pleasant experience.
Clean room friendly staff
Everything was awesome with the exception of a weird smell in the room
Everyone was kind and accommodating
Nice big room & clean!
Great hotel to stay at!
The staff were very friendly. Rooms were very clean. The only thing i would change would be to use real fresh eggs at breakfast. Not powdered eggs.
The $110 pet charge. I feel it should be refunded if room is exceptionally kept and cleaned and confirmed by housekeeper.
It was great.
Bed is comfortable, rooms are clean and service was very good, front desk was very friendly.
