Parking wasn’t very easy. Room was far too hot
I didnt stay in this hotel , on checking in I was asked for thirty pounds in cash before he would issue me my key . I paid for two nights and wanted a refund which they refused . Avoid this place , its not good . I will never return . A hideous experience . Its also filthy
the hygiene is lacking , the bathrooms filthy , the reception man rude and aggressive .
Staff was welcoming and polite, location was ideal and situated very central to everything you would need for a seaside location. Price was extremely affordable.
The bed was very solid and not on a bedstead, more a wooden structure built to hold a mattress. No head board and twice I banged my head on the top of the wall panel which stuck out.
There was a dirty tissue left behind the electric heater.
Extremely thin walls so when other guests were next door you could hear every bounce of their mattress, the flooring up the stairs was extremely noisy so the comings and goings of people visiting the guests during the night could be heard loudly.
Decoration was cheap, to the point of, the paint on the windows after painting the wooden frame wasn't cleaned off. Wall panels up the stairs were obviously done cheap as well as the flooring. This could be replaced with carpet to stop so much noise.
The front door wasn't locked for security through the night and was open until we closed it but was still remaining unlocked.
The heat in the room we booked was unbearable even with the small electric fan running continuously and keeping the window open until we had a seagull almost come in the room, to which point due to my partner's needs the window needed closing.
Fire doors on each room were heavy, when not remembering to carefully close the door they slammed with a vengeance, could use an arm on the top of them to avoid this becoming a disturbance or injury to someone following in after.
There was also a non noticeable step around 1 to 2 inches walking into the room which could cause a trip and when taking into account the heavy closing door could also cause injury which I did trip on, luckily it wasn't my partner who wouldn't of been able to keep herself upright.
Great location. Great value for money. Great service and communication
We were in a twin room. Bathroom was tiny. Couldn't move in it and and serious need of deep clean or re-do.
Location was good. Plenty of parking on sea front 2mins away.
Sadly the pictures are from when it was refurbed and not reflectivr of the current state of the hotel. This hotel could be nice with just a little effort and very little money. The painting has been done by someone who couldn't care less what it looks like, it's on the sockets, the mirror, lights. Mr Bean could have done a better job. The bathroom needs a smaller sink and the shelf taking out so you can move in there. The room I stayed in could be brought up to a good standard for £80-£100 of materials and a days work by a caring and competent DIY person.
Nothing
Dirt & dust on radiator. Musty smell in room. Dirty shower & toilet. Tv not working. Cld hear next door shouting & swearing. Waking me up at 5 am. Did not enjoy my stay.
Only the location was good
There, was an extra charge for parking and no other amenities other than a bed
Close to beach
WiFi connection was extremely poor. No connection even on my data once in my room.
so good location
dont expect the hilton - you pay for what you get - its very basic but clean (isn)
The good thing was near beach
There was all the door was very tight to open and inside room around was not clean properly so many crumbs every corner and they gave us fan was too much dust & broken after tell them they changed and gave us small fan. They need to improve there service & cleaness.
Nasty little room. Smelt musty. Radiator full of dust & dirt. Shower room was filthy too. Toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly either. Tv didn’t work. Could hear neighbours shouting & swearing at 5. In the morning. Not good.
Close to sea
Very old building. Rooms are small and bed are just OK
Great location for Brighton East Park but also if you want to be nearby the beach. Good value for money.
Staff took ages to respond to the bell at the front desk. Bathroom was clean, but floors in bedroom weren't.
Was ok
Property wasn’t that bad but however paying for parking wasn’t mentioned in the booking and then on top I paid 20 pounds for parking and I had to go 2 roads down to find my own space which there wasn’t any space available and to be honest the price I paid for the first night it wasn’t worth it and my room was all the way up 4 stairs
Fair price
Bit noisy... very basic
