Friendly staff
Everything was a bit off the mark, and most of all the food. Breakfast was ok, nothing special for a 5* hotel rating. Dinner was very disappointing, a different menu given to us from what was on the website, only had 5 dinner options, the rest were sandwhiches and this was on a Saturday evening...
The building is lovely and the staff are very friendly
The room was freezing cold when I arrived and smelled damp and musty. The room was dusty and needed a good clean.
Fantastic stay. Our suite was beautiful and had a little radio with classic music which was delightful.
The room decor was beautiful
The decor was imaginative and the location was beautiful. The bar area was lovely and staff were friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great.
There was a fan heater in the room that was the only functioning heating. It switched itself on automatically every 20 minutes or so and was so noisy it made it impossible to sleep. When I mentioned this at reception when asked how our stay was, the response was disinterested and it was obvious they were aware of the issue. Disappointing.
A wonderful property in an excellent, quiet location. The breakfast, which was included in our room rate, was first class. Excellent range of food available. The only downside for us was that it was possible to see into the toilet from the bedroom. This was the only negative for a room which otherwise was wonderful.

The room was amazing, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The food for dinner and breakfast was very high quality and the staff were very friendly.
The only down side was that there was no soap in the dispensers in the room, no deals on how to connect to the Wifi and no instructions on how to contact the reception via the phone to get these items fixed.
Good breakfast
no heating, very little parking and they put us in a room over a really loud party. But the worst thing aside from the noise was an annoying light that flashed and lit the room up in a smoke alarm right above the bed
The location and staff were ok.
No breakfast available on our second morning. When you pay the rate we did for bed and breakfast, really disappointing.
Excellent service, staff all really friendly and welcoming
There was a maintenance issue in the kitchen, which is fine, so we walked into the village and had a lovely dinner. Due to the issues, breakfast was continental or sausage/bacon sandwiches only. Again, fine...but some sort of discount on this basis would have been appreciated. We weren't even asked if everything was ok on check out.
Lovely room, however lots of dust on light bulbs and behind mirrors, and mould on the window.
Would return as it really is a lovely place, but some attention to detail is required.
