The location was perfect . my husband enjoyed breakfast I unfortunately although I had paid for bed and breakfast could not have mine as breakfast at weekend is from 8.am unlike any other hotels I have stayed at, no alternative was suggested like a pack up needed to be at at a different venue by 8.30 am so would not have had time to eat.
We could not get food in the restaurant on our second night, the staff said due to the hot weather the kitchens were closed, they asked had we booked. We had not when we walked past the restaurant there were three couples having meals.
I asked staff why they could have meals but my husband and I could not, the staff could not answer why . I would of expected nobody to be eating in the restaurant if it was allegedly closed..
It was a Sunday night everywhere that served food locally was closed. so we didn't have a meal
Lovely venue and delicious afternoon tea. Our thanks to Finley for looking after us so well this afternoon too, she was delightful. We'll definitely be back.
Amazing location and quirky decor
Room was lovely and a nice touch with towels arranged into swan love hearts.
Aircon had broken but staff had worked hard adding 2 fans into the room to ease the situation - these things happen and we had booked the specific room for our wedding night so not much else could be done at a late stage.
Breakfast itself was good although coffee on the cold side and pastries/bread very low in choice. We arrived for breakfast at 9.45, noting it was until 10am which may explain it.
Good sized room with comfortable bed and good shower. Good food at the restaurant, and nice, cooked to order breakfast
Room was in upper floor and was hot given the unusually hot weather. The room had air conditioning but this was not effective, making the room somewhat uncomfortable at night.
Fabulous dinner
A/C wasn't working in a heatwave - but was glad we had been informed in advance as we brought a fan - but i thought there should have been big fans in the room - maybe ceiling fans for the future?
Location is fantastic, perfect for a stroll around the park and very quiet
I’m personally not into the taxidermy animals but I see how they match the decor and vibe
Lovely location, let down massively by the lack of housekeeping. We had a beautiful room and it was dirty and grubby, a real let down.
Air conditioning did not work and the noise from the airplanes from 6am was off putting.
Breakfast was ok.
Not sure we would return.
I feel it’s only right to give a shoutout to the staff after my stay here. They go above and beyond and nothing was ever too much trouble. I had to grab some names from staff in the morning. I believe it was Rosie on the bar - she was great and very kind. Hamera is a star! Helped us in every department. The blonde lady on breakfast was also so warm and welcoming! Good job. We will be back for sure.
I stayed at the Oddfellows for 2 nights in July as a base for my wedding (wedding was at another venue) with my bridesmaids and parents, so we had 4 rooms in total.
From the moment we arrived, the host Michelle could not do enough for us. She even offered to help move our luggage to the rooms, which was so kind (we had lots of stuff!!). She helped find a cool place in the hotel to store my flowers overnight as it was quite a warm day and I was worried about them wilting in the heat in the rooms.
The property was beautiful and the rooms were spotless. We had a lovely chilled evening the night before the wedding sat in the bar with a few drinks and snacks. The hotel kindly reserved parking for our wedding car the next morning as parking spaces are very limited. If you like plane spotting you will get a very good view of the Manchester arrivals too as they fly straight over the hotel.
The highlight of my stay really was the staff. Michelle made sure that everything was handed over to the night shift to allow my hair/makeup artist into the rooms in the early morning. She even came up to the room the morning of the wedding to ask if we needed any assistance with anything. She really was a pleasure and is a credit to the hotel.
I really couldn't complain about anything during our stay, it was perfect from start to finish, thank you to the staff for making our stay truly special.
Room not serviced and after a day out to arrive back at 10pm with no water, wet towels and bed unmade - very disappointing.

We recently stayed at Oddfellows on the Park and, unfortunately, it fell well short of the five-star standard it claims to offer. I'd rate it closer to a 3-star experience.
The biggest issue was the lack of experienced management. After around 3pm, all of the managers seemed to disappear, leaving what felt like very young and inexperienced staff to run the hotel. While they were polite and doing their best, they clearly didn't have the support or authority needed to deal with issues effectively.
The air conditioning wasn't working, which made our stay quite uncomfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. There were several areas that looked neglected and certainly not what you'd expect from a luxury hotel.
The one real highlight was the food, which was excellent. The quality of the meals was genuinely impressive and was easily the best part of our stay.
Overall, there is potential here, but until the hotel improves its management presence, maintenance, and housekeeping standards, it's difficult to justify its five-star rating.
The property was stunning, the room was immaculate and very well equip. Bed was extremely comfy. The radio been on in the room when I arrived was a really nice
Touch too
Absolutely nothing!
Nice setting and quiet
Air conditioning not functioning
The staff were friendly and helpful
The rooms were stifling hot and the aircon completely ineffectual
Property was clean, staff were friendly
The air con didn’t seem to be working, room was absolutely boiling and struggled to sleep
Exceptional attention to with the interior design and the upkeepi g. Housekeeping was spectacular and the fittings even such as the blinds were high quality made.
If i had to pick any improvement it would be that the bed wasn’t too comfortable, but i am really am nit picking s as it was lovely! Room 11.
