Amazing place, staff were excellent.
Nothing everything was exceptional
Lovely location, comfortable bed, great shower, staff in dining room, front of desk and in the bar were friendly and helpful.
Whilst bed linen, towels and general cleanliness was good, there was a lot of dust on furniture, bathroom mirror. Tops of most of furniture was glass and shows dust more easily but there was a lot which was disappointing.
Great location, rooms were decent size and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great!
Some of the room could do with a proper clean - window frames had mould around them. Won’t take much to bring the room up to an even higher standard.
The shower and bathroom was lovely.
Liked the fact there was a dab radio in room too.
Nice setting and lovely building.
Parking is the only issue there if there was an event it would be a struggle.
It was lovely, the room was really nice
No air con was a bit of a pain as even though it was quite mild outside, it was still quite warm in the room even with a fan. I really enjoy air con when in a hotel, it was a shame it wasn’t working
The staff were excellent, lovely warm and attentive. The food was very good, as I am a coeliac they were helpful and understood. The setting was lovely. The beds were clean and very comfy.
Unfortunately the room was not as clean as I would expect. There was black mold around the windows, and the funiture was dusty, and the chairs and wardrobe. I wounder when it last had a deep clean. The towels were pristine. The cleaners were really nice ,I simply feel they do not have enough cleaning staff and everything is a little tired and neglected. This is entirely a management/Owner responsibility, as the staff were delightful and always went the extra mile for us.
A deep clean on a regular basis would help and attention to detail, like dirty walls and repairs done on a rolling basis. The potential is massive but what could be outstanding is getting shabby. Big shout out to the chef and his team, absolutely excellent.
Very friendly staff, comfortable bed and good shower
Limited parking at the property, had to use a local public car park which perhaps was not so secure
Lovely grounds and park near by for kids. The staff were really nice.
The grounds of Bruntwood Park are genuinely lovely, and sitting in the gardens for lunch after a long-haul flight with two young children was a pleasant way to decompress, however the food took a long time to arrive and was average for the price.
The experience surrounding our arrival left a lot to be desired.
I had contacted the hotel no fewer than three times in advance to request a midday check-in, explaining that I was travelling alone with a 3 and 8 year old after an overnight international flight with 59kg of luggage. When I arrived at midday and asked to access my room at 1:45pm, the manager made something of a theatrical performance of mobilising housekeeping so I could check in at 2pm for a £15 charge. I do not consider 2pm an early check-in by any reasonable measure — standard check-out is 11am, meaning the room had been free for nearly three hours(if It had even been booked the night prior lol) this charge made me feel undervalued as a guest. I planned to have dinner in the venue with more family but this charge rubbed me the wrong way and we booked elsewhere.
To make matters worse, I was assigned a room on the top floor with no lift in the building — seven flights of stairs, with two small children and a mountain of luggage. The staff were asked to help and I felt it was dangerous, I was concerned. Ground floor and level 1 has rooms. I was never asked whether stairs were an issue, and no alternative was offered. This is both a guest comfort issue and, I would suggest, a health and safety concern for staff assisting with bags.
The room itself was smaller than the listing suggested, and the telephone had clearly not been cleaned in some time — visible dust throughout.
I contacted the hotel directly before posting this review to give them the opportunity to respond. They did not reply.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly but were let down by various problems with the room, keys, and service.
Breakfast was very poor, a badly organised buffet with small tables around the room rather than all in one place. Poor cereal selection and poor selection of pastries/bread, no croissants. I requested sourdough toast, one piece was delivered to me on a plate, no butter left in bowls by bread. Hot food orders slow and delivered wrongly with poached eggs on white rolls instead of muffins as ordered, (when informed the staff member offered to scrape the eggs onto a muffin!! we obviously declined that offer in favour of replacement order). NO fresh fruit, (told there wasn't any!) despite being on the menu. Poor service, grandson had to ask for ketchup to accompany dish at least four times before it was bought. Coffee not great and not hot. My yoghurt/granola dish came late, after my toast. In all a staff that were poorly trained, poor food and lacked any kind of professional service. Very disappointing.
Dinner previous night also disappointing, service poor, of two fish options on menu, only one was available. No bread offered, and food took a long time, though, when it eventually came, it was good.
This was a last minute booking as we thought we would start our holiday early by booking a hotel near the airport! This did not disappoint! The location was great, 20 mins from teh airport. Hotel set in lovely grounds and the facilities we great
the resturant was exceptional, the bed and breakfast and evening meal is what we opted for. The food was outstanding and something you would associate with a high end place to dine! All teh staff were very helpful and super polite and couldnt do enough to help
The hotel sits right in inbound flight path to Manchester so if you like seeing planes up close then its an added bonus. Whilst you may think this would be loud at night then i can assure you with the windows closed you couldnt hear a thing!
Nothing as it was that good we have booked to stay again
The welcome from reception was lovely & welcoming also the bar staff, the staff seemed to be so happy to be there and greet us. The room was also lovely and bathroom very modern. It felt like a very peaceful place to have a nights stay before our holidays.

Beautiful boutique hotel. I loved everything about it.

Funky artwork
Parking right outside (thought this is quite limited)
Good breakfast but the items you could help yourself to needed replenishing more often
Room was "odd"
We stayed in the tower suite - we entered the room and walked up three steps to be faced with the back of a tv. The bed was behind the tv and this layout made the downstairs room feel really cramped and small. I asked for an extra bed for my child which was placed upstairs in the living area. Bedside the bed was a huge chandelier lying on the floor. My child was freaked out by this and didn't want to sleep there. It made the room feel like a store cupboard. I asked reception what this was about and they told me it was art and a functioning light!
At breakfast time I asked where the dining room was and the person on reception pointed ahead and said through there. We actually needed to turn left at the end of the corridor but the kitchen door was propped open and we ended up walking into the kitchen by mistake.
Beautiful building. Interesting and funky decor. Good facilities in room. Great shower. Loads of light from window. Little DAB radio. Restaurant was very nice, same for breakfast. Lovely outside patio space. Great stay.
The only thing that was a little annoying which is absolutely not the hotels fault is it is on the flight path so you struggle to talk when sat outside with it being under Manchester Airport flight path and when you have the window open in your room. But the hotel can't help that.
We had a lovely stay at the Oddfellows on the Park. The hotel was a welcome change from the usual airport chains, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was very welcome during the heat wave. The staff were all very courteous and efficient. A special shout out to Jazz who helped us when we had an excellent Sunday dinner in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend staying there, particularly if you are looking a stay near the airport.
We recently stayed at Oddfellows On The Park in Cheadle and had an exceptional experience. The hotel is fabulous, and the staff were outstanding, warm, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was superb, and our room was immaculate, stylish, and extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. A special thank you to Leanne and Michelle for their exceptional care and attention throughout our stay.
