The beds didn’t have mattresses protectors so the mattresses were VERY stained. Room and carpet was dirty and the bathroom smelt of bad drains

It was close to everything
Very poor decor around the ceiling internal doors on corridors dirty,landings needed vacuuming, smell of damp and sewers throughout and the smell of cannabis on landings too not nice,and no proper bar with entertainment
The location was great, and we had private bath, an electric fan and a kettle
No hotel parking , you had to walk to a private parking where you had to pay for your entire stay. This is super nasty and unhospitable.

I’ve stayed in Blackpool many times I wasn’t impressed with this hotel at all .. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but the room was quite awful it smelt of damp , wall paper was coming off the wall and in places they painted a grey colour to probably hide where damp had been .. the back windows were covered in bird muck and I mean covered and u could smell it .. that back part of the hotel is full of birds … they even had a £50 deposit in case u cause damage but I think I should of had that money given me .. I actually imagined them ripping me off over this but that hasn’t happened .. this hotel should not have the name Royal in it .. we also got woken up with firearms keep going off from 8am when they were cooking breakfasts . I wouldn’t stay here again that’s for sure
