Grace Inn Munnar Homestay

Tout aimé. Vinur sa femme et leur petit garçon sont adorables et nous ont beaucoup aidé dans nos activités et voyage . Ils ont réservé pour nous des randonnées, visites, bus… sa femme nous a cuisiné de bons repas le soir. La chambre est propre et spacieuse. Au top et nous recommandons cette homestay. Nous y sommes restés 4 nuits

The host Vinu was very helpful during our stay. Even if the weather did not play along we had a wonderful time. Especially his recommendations for local guides (ask for Vijai!) were perfect.

We loved Vinu’s friendliness and help, the great location (bus to Munnar Town right next to the homestay), the coziness of the room, the delicious food and the trips arranged by Vinu with Vijay (trekking, visit of tea fields and tea factory…)

Vinu and his wife (name?) know to create a true authentic homestay experience. With delicious home cooked meals, also adapting to guests preferences, and expert knowledge about the area they both assured we had a pleasant stay with them in their home. We also appreciated that Vinu made all arrangements, for agreeable costs, for the activities and transportation we needed. What’s also to consider is that shops are about a 10 minute walk away down a steep road. It’s generally quiet and peaceful, however music can be heard from nearby resorts. Fortunately before 10 pm everything becomes quiet again, apart from the wild life of course. In total there are 3 room for visitors and there is a strict no alcohol/party policy. So for a real and honest homestay experience, we would definitely recommend Grace Inn.

While the rooms and location are great for a stay in Munnar, the best part about this homestay is the host. Vinu was extremely helpful with tips not just about Munnar but also for the rest of our trip. His family hosted us with much warmth and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed sharing stories over the tasty meals cooked by Vinu's wife. The pets add another layer of homely feeling here. Definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Munnar!

Vinu and his family were the perfect hosts! Really amazing people who went beyond and above to give us a good experience. The room and food is fine. However, it is the tours that Vinu can arrange for you that really is the reason you should book this homestay. The first day Vinu booked us with the sweetest tuktuk driver to go sightseeing, whihc really was a calm and interesting day. The next day was even better, as Vinu had set us up with the hiking guide Vijay who showed us his own trail to Munnar top station. We did not meet a single group on our way up to Munnar top and I am sure you cannot get this amazing trek with additional highlights without having Vijay showing you to the top.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and helped us organise some great trips out- seeing the elephants was amazing and the highlight of our holiday.
The home cooked food was delicious and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a great stay with Vinu and Shabana at Grace Inn Homestay. They made us very welcome and comfortable, and gave us good advice about activities and transport, and were very kind an helpful. The room was very comfortable, and there was a nice hot water shower in the en-suite bathroom. We had our own small balcony where we could hear birdsong, and the top two terraces had amazing views. It is an easy walk to the bus stop to get the local bus into Munnar, and you can see beautiful tea plantations and lovely views on the way! Thank you Vinu and Shabana.

I had a great stay at Grace Inn! Vinu, the property owner, was really nice and helped organize tours and drivers from the airport and to different spots in Munnar. Communication was smooth and fast via WhatsApp.

Excellent Indian breakfast & dinner provided, all home-cooked and authentic.

The rooms are clean, quiet, and provide amazing views of Munnar hills from the windows. A terrace is available for everyone where you can just chill and watch the sunset.

For those who like exploring by foot - there's a side road just 5 minutes walking from the property where you can walk near the tea plantation and it leads to one of the best viewpoints in the area - highly recommended!

Amazing location, right at the foothills of the tea plantations. Vinu was so helpful, he booked us the most amazing trek with Vijay - 5 hours in the tea plantations and mountains and helped with taxi and train bookings too. The trek was the best thing we did all holiday. His wife made delicious home cooked food - lots of veggie curries and coconut pancakes for breakfast. Balcony with a great view to watch the sunset.

We had an amazing stay with Vinu and is family. Beautiful location near a tea estate. Views are spectacular especially from the roof. Nice to watch the sunset over the mountains. Room was clean and comfortable and good to have a balcony to sit out. Bed was very comfortable. The food was amazing. We ate there for breakfast and dinner each day. Vinu organised a sightseeing trip and a hike. The hike was excellent. Our guide Vijay was first class. We climbed up through hillsides, forests and tea estates. We were even lucky enough to see an elephant.

Locality of the home is Mesmerizing, evening snacks in balcony with the beautiful view in front of us made our day relaxing. We felt blessed as the host is also a pet lover, and we went with our pet dog...

We had a wonderful stay with Vinu, Shabana and their super cute son Maverick. It was really the perfect Homestay and we felt lucky to have found it. Our room had a balcony with a gorgeous view, the beds were super comfy and the food was delicious. Vinu was also really helpful advising us on trekking, guides and what to see in the local area. And we had a lovely Christmas Eve with a traditional cake! We’d definitely come back if we’re in the area again

Amazing view and brilliant location

We loved our stay at Grace Inn.
Vinu and his family welcomed us into his home, helped us to organise tuktuk and trekking tours, cooked for us, and even drove us into town so that we could get a massage.
The room was clean and tidy, with towels, toothpaste and body lotion etc provided which was a nice extra touch. Access onto the balcony meant we enjoyed a sunset on our final night!!!
Of course the highlight would be hanging out with little Maverick and having dinners with the other guests.

Very nice authentic homestay. The hosts are very welcoming and will try to accomodate every wish. We got help with arranging tours and hikes. Also lovely homemade food for breakfast and diner. Would definitely recommend!

Cozy homestay in Munnar with a super sweet and welcoming family with an adorable little kid. The homecooked food was incredible and just what was needed after a day long hike. The views are incredible and a special treat. A true gem!
