Comfortable room, friendly and professional staff and excellent food.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent. The Omelete was excellent. Cooked perfectly, and the selection from buffet good.
The staff attentiveness and friendliness was very good.

The evening meal was also great quality. I had a meat and cheese board to start and a hot chicken salad and both were of the highest quality. Well done to the chef and bar / waiting staff.

I would stay there again but only in a room on the top floor.
Pros:

Excellent food and drink in the Lounge. The main restaurant was not open during my stay. Central location was good.

Cons:

Stayed in Room 10 which was nice enough but the noise from neighbors and especially the room above was unacceptable. It's a very old building and there is no noise insulation to speak of.

Nice hotel in central Congleton. Super breakfast - try the Staffordshire Oatcakes they're great!
Pros:

Great breakfast, super convenient location. Very friendly staff.

Cons:

The rooms in the annex are not well sign-posted from the car park, which meant a lot of searching and my wife is currently on crutches, so it made it harder for her than it should have been. Once we knew where we were going, all was well.

Welcoming and comfortable stay.
Pros:

Central location. Clean room. Old hotel so bit creaky but fine. Good facilities in room; coffee machine that also gave hot water for tea.
Bar food was good. Excellent, cooked to order breakfast. Staff were excellent.

Cons:

Lots of steps. No lifts to the rooms.

Dinner was ok.
Breakfast was good.
Good location for my business meeting the next day.

Cons:

Need more staff to support guests!
My TV control didn't work tried calling reception 5 times and no response, also wanted to book a table for dinner, went to see them (staff were maning the bar) they promissed to resolve whilst I had dinner.
Finished dinner went back to room and still remote wasn't resolved, tried calling reception again, no response!
Again went to see them (said they had forgotten to sort the TV) but this time they did actually find a replacement remote.
