Great hotel and central to the village and its attractions. The room and bed were very small, thankfully, we only had overnight bag. Great staff and facilities.

Property was in quite a good condition however our room no. 3 was in a poor condition. In dire need of a paint job.

Excellent location, good range of menu choices and reasonably priced drinks.
The paintwork in public areas could do with a freshen up (toilets, entrance from rear of bar area - porch way etc).

The staff were very welcoming and check in was simple. the dining room staff (Gaye and Chris)were attentive to customer's needs and helpful in every way.
In some areas the property was in need of upgrading, but clean and tidy.

Lovely place to stay in the heart of the square, stayed here before easy but efficient check in, we had a courtyard room 27 prefer this to hotel as I’m not good with stairs, it was very quiet lovely queen bed & bathroom contain a separate bath & shower nice decorated, we had an evening meal in the dining room which you need to book in advance with relatives the food was delicious. The breakfast service next morning was delivered by Chris & (sorry forgot their name), what a team they were brilliant they pandered to our ever need nothing too much trouble they were friendly too.

Breakfast was beautifully cooked, presented and served.
Some fixtures are a little tired but overall the hotel is very good indeed.

Historic hotel in beautiful small market town close to the dales and A1 with local shops and pubs. Very convenient for stopover.

Great location to visit Masham and the surrounding area. Everything you need for a short break ,including a reasonably priced restaurant and bar . Staff in all areas were very friendly and helpful.

Overnight stay in this small village. The hotel was clean welcoming in right in the middle of town

3rd time I have stayed here so must be getting something right! The lovely, helpful and responsive staff make a very positive contribution. The food is okay for the price and plenty of options to raise the bar (and the price) nearby.
Parking no more than 1 minute walk from your room. Same for 50KWh EV chargers if required. If you’re missing your oat milk flat white….it’s a 2 minute walk to the cafe in the corner of the square.
