Superb vessel shame about location
Pros:

Booked a trip here and booked it based on advertised location, directly outside Christmas markets.
However, notified a week before that it would be an alternative location due to dredging work on the river.
We accepted this but then during our stay established that this was an outright lie. There was NO dredging work being done.
The vessel has never docked outside the Main Nizza restaurant and rumoured that due to local businesses the MS CHARLES DICKENS is prevented from docking there due to competition. Other vessels were moored close by and ample room for many other vessels to moor.
The area where it was moored is an industrial estate with a cement works and a skip recycle centre, very noisy. Woken by a tipper truck being filled with stone chippings.

The boat/ ship / vessel is beautiful and the staff are superb. Really friendly and helpful. Superbly equipped.
Our room was a good size with a small balcony. Some of the rooms have no balcony, some have Juliette balcony, but if u choose city view you are looking at a wall that you can physically touch. This is due to the mooring. If at Main Nizza this will not be the case.
Bar/ lounge is lovely, serving beers cocktails and spirits. A little pricey though, a beer is €7.50.

Breakfast is excellent.

There's a tiny hot tub on the top deck. Ample room for sunbathing if the weather suits.

Excellent showers in rooms.

In all a fab experience shame about the dock area and I would definitely consider a mini cruise on board.
