Wunderbares Hotel mit perfekter Ausstattung

We stayed at this hotel for four nights, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing—especially during the last two nights, which were absolutely unbearable.
On the evening of the third night, an incredibly irritating noise started in our room. It would switch on briefly, produce a very unpleasant and disturbing sound, and then abruptly stop. At first it occurred every 10–15 minutes, but during the night it became more frequent, repeating every couple of minutes. As a result, we were unable to sleep at all.
The next morning, my husband informed the reception about the issue. He clearly explained that the noise could not have been caused by the air conditioning, as we had not used it (there is no need for AC at the end of March in Croatia). The receptionist said she would pass the information on to maintenance. However, she did not offer any immediate solution, such as changing our room. In fact, she even suggested that other rooms might have the same or an even worse problem. We were out for most of the day and returned around 7 PM. Within minutes of entering the room, the same noise started again. My husband went back to reception, and a different staff member came to our room and confirmed the noise herself. Surprisingly, she said she had not received any information about the issue reported earlier that day. She speculated that it might be related to clogged filters or something similar, but stated that she was unable to fix it and could not call anyone to resolve the problem. She also mentioned that changing rooms would be the best solution, yet she was unable to arrange that either.
While she apologized, no action was taken to resolve the situation. This raises a serious question: what is the purpose of having reception staff if they are unable to assist guests or handle urgent issues? The problem was reported in the morning, yet nothing was done throughout the day.
