Our Q-Inn experience
Pros:

The owner/host's warm and welcoming personality significantly enhanced our stay. Their friendliness, helpfulness & knowledge made us feel right at home. The location was also ok and this made traversing around the city easy.

Cons:

Quite a few things stand out. When leaving the hotel, we had to place the room key at the front desk, which made us very uneasy. The shower also had mold in the grout, so although the room was clean, seeing the mold was a bit unsettling. The ac was a smaller unit, so cooling the room was difficult. Upon arrival, we also had to clean mildew from the walls in the bathroom, so it is possible it was missed before we arrived. The other thing that stood out was that the hotel had a smell at times that was off-putting.

Pros:

Ron and Aruna were fantastic! We spent New Years here and had a great time and a comfortable stay at a great location for a better price than most other places around :-) Someone was always available for any of our questions, and Ron helped arrange rides to and from the airport. Perfect stay! Clean and comfortable!

Cons:

Everything was great! One suggestion, we were asked not to separate the beds - the king is two twins put together like many places - when we wanted to separate them. It would be great if this was something that was possible if needed when folks have trouble sleeping or for whatever reason.

Pros:

I was welcomed by the owner. I didn’t realize that the family lived at the property. There was a table where two girls were doing homework. The mother was sitting in the couch. My room appeared clean. Went to bed only to be woken up by screaming. People were having an argument downstairs and there was loud music playing. This went on until past 4am. Next morning, I wake up to a dead cockroach on the floor. I tried to talk to the owner several times during the day. I was left with an attendant who only spoke Dutch, so I couldn’t communicate with her. She was pleasant and apologetic for not being able to communicate. Since I arrived at night, I didn’t well where I was staying until I decided to get some food. The area is a little sketchy. I came back to the room and locked myself there. I came downstairs on my third attempt, to find the owner sleeping on the couch. I asked if I could only pay for 2 nights instead of 4 since I didn’t have a good night. He acted surprised about the noise when he knew full well about their noise. He told me that I had to pay for the entire stay since he needed to pay the Expedia group. He also said: let’s see about tonight. What? I contacted customer service and they tried to reach out to him and they got no answer. I decided to leave the place having to pay for the full stay. I preferred to feel safe and not worry about a cockroach crawling into my ear.

Pros:

The property owner and housekeeping staff were amazing! The property seems to well kept outside, clean and is walking distance to town. The rooms are small but perfect. The beds are two single beds put together and it made sleeping very uncomfortable. I read this in a lot of the other reviews but I didn't really believe it... it's true. Since they are single beds and not twin there's not a lot of room to roll around before falling in the gap. Still a good value for a clean room and walking distance to town. Good wifi and very welcoming property owners.
