The rooms are gorgeous. The zodiac room is fantastic and gets gorgeous light.
The restaurant is great the sirloin was probably one the the best steaks I've ever had.
The breakfast is not worth £20. I'd literally have rather gone to a weatherspoons. The sausages were far to gamey for breakfast. The bacon was dry as cardboard. I paid £20 to eat tomatoes hash browns and mushrooms. Do not recommend. Other than that the hotel is absolutely fantastic
Loved every single part of this hotel and the room was sublime, I even received a free upgrade which was amazing.

Nothing much to complain about
Gorgeous place, beautifully furnished and delightful staff. Such a relaxing place to be. Quiet, unobtrusive background piano music just right. Whole place has an air of calm, welcoming tranquility.
It's a tiny detail, but please put coat hooks in the rooms near the door. Breakfast machine coffee was not good - and with UHT milk (or so it tasted). A quality cappuccino is the most important element of any breakfast for me.

Lauren was an absolute standout during our stay and truly set the tone for a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. As the receptionist, she greeted us with such genuine warmth and kindness that we immediately felt welcome and at ease. Nothing was too much trouble for her — she was incredibly helpful, attentive, and always happy to assist with anything we needed.
What really made an impression was her lovely personality. Lauren has a natural way of making guests feel valued and cared for, and her positive attitude never wavered. Whether it was answering questions, offering recommendations, or simply sharing a friendly smile, she consistently went above and beyond.
She is a true asset to the hotel, and her professionalism combined with her warmth made our stay even more enjoyable. We’re so grateful for her help and hope the hotel recognizes what a gem they have in Lauren. Thank you for making our visit so memorable! Shout out no Olivia too for upgrading us to the zodiac room for our anniversary it was a dream stay xx

Beautiful surroundings, trees, lake and gardens. Beds were so comfy with so soft sheets. The pool, sauna and steam room were great additions to our stay.
The evening meal menu was very expensive so we ate at the Thornhill Arms.
The hotel was beautiful and vey comfortable. Food was excellent in the Brasserie restaurant. Pool in leisure was very well equipped.
The porter on day of arrival helped us with luggage , but when we checked out no one was o available Porter as hotel only employed one and he was off duty..
