Fabulous experience for anniversary
Pros:

An amazing place to stay, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves celebrating our 59th wedding anniversary. The staff couldn't have done more to help they were very attentive and helpful, especially as we have mobility issues. The accessible room we stayed in was fabulous, with both normal and accessible bathrooms. Special shout out to Concierge David and Reception staff. We dined in both restaurants and were very impressed by both the service and food. Would highly recommend staying here

Spa Weekend
Pros:

We stayed in the hotel this weekend as a belated Christmas gift for my friend. We stayed in the William Tresham room which was incredible. The bed is so comfy and views from the room are stunning. We were greeted at reception by David who took our suitcases to our room for us, he was on hand all weekend to help if we needed it and took our suitcase to the car on checkout. He is absolutely fantastic and a credit to the hotel. We ate at the brassiere and both had the steak for dinner which was a melt in your mouth sensation, again the staff working were nothing but fantastic. We both had two treatments - the hot stone massage and a facial. The beauticians were very knowledgeable and both treatments left us feeling so relaxed. Two single mums who lead very busy lives this was exactly what we needed and we will definitely be back!

Bad experience 😞
Pros:

The spa experience itself was pleasant; however, I was disappointed that the package we booked was not fully honoured. Instead of the glass of prosecco included in the offer, we were given a coffee. These details matter, especially when you choose and pay for a specific package.
For anyone planning to book, I strongly recommend asking for full clarification of what is included in the package before confirming your reservation. We also did not receive an invoice, which I found concerning.
For three people paying £360, replacing prosecco with a coffee felt inappropriate and disappointing. Thank you for the experience.

Disappointing Anniversary break
Pros:

We stayed for two nights for our Wedding Anniversary a long awaited break because we had to cancel our holidays last year due to my husband being unwell and having to have surgery. We arrived at the Hotel and Dave met us and took our bags and said he would take them to the room as soon as it was ready, a lovely man who made us feel very welcome. We went to our room which felt cold but we had a massage booked so we went off to have the massage which was excellent, got back to the room none of the heating either in the bedroom or bathroom was working so we rang reception who said they would come up, waited for half and hour and no one came so we went back down stairs to reception and Dave took charge and found us another room up many flights of stairs but he took our bags up . Not a great start as having took all our things out and unpacked we had to pack up to move but never mind the room was now warm and we went and had a lovely meal in the restaurant, service was good, a lovely open fire and food was really nice. Had a good nights sleep comfy bed and had a nice breakfast, put please make up our room on the door and went to the spa relaxed by the pool had a nice lunch and went back to room, no cleaner had been so we went to reception whop said they usually clean at 3 or 4 o'cock? reception said they would ask them to clean as soon as poss and we went for a walk around the grounds which are beautiful never seen so many snowdrops. Back in had a hot chocolate thought we would have a little rest a cup of tea and a shower and get ready for our anniversary dinner. No cleaner had been so back down to reception, we needed clean towels and our tea and coffee replenishing and water etc. Informed cleaner would come at 6 oclock there had been an incident and no one could clean our room! we were made to feel like we were being a nuisance, we stay on a hotel for the nice things like having the room cleaned whilst we are out and being pampered a little. Not the case here! so we had to change the time of our evening meal to later so we could get showered and changed after the cleaning. When we got down for dinner we were given a bottle of wine as an apology. The meal was really lovely we had no complaints about the food here at all infact it was outstanding and the service was good too. Next morning was time to return home. We both felt that our break fell short of our expectations , and this is mainly because of reception who need some training big time to make the reception up to standard. We both feel it was such a shame because the spa was lovely massages were great and the food was outstanding but having to change rooms and not getting clean towels and the room serviced was not acceptable. People have little breaks for special occasions Anniversaries Birthdays etc and it is expensive and a rear treat these days. Reception here needs to get their act together on our second day Dave who greeted us when we arrived was on holiday he is a great asset to the hotel and its a shame that the rest of the reception staff are not the same!

Blissful Spa Day with Exceptional Service
Pros:

I had a lovely massage and spa experience today. The massage with Rebecca was so relaxing, and the facilities were beautiful and calming.
Lunch in the café was a real highlight. Jo-Anne was particularly lovely and kind, and along with Grace and Ellie, they really made the experience feel extra special.
I’ll definitely be returning to see the new refurbishements and would highly recommend!

Lovely atmosphere
Pros:

Such a relaxing day for my birthday made special by the team at the spa. The massage with Corrina was heaven- she made me very comfortable, could feel the tension leaving my body and felt physically lighter afterwards. Would definitely recommend. Throughout the day Jo-Anne in the cafe went above and beyond - such a great positive energy and couldn’t do enough for us. Great service and delicious lunch- makes such a difference. Reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back especially when the new outside refurb is up and running- so much potential.

Eye treatments
Pros:

I recently visited Rushton Hall Spa for an eyelash tint, eyebrow tint, and wax, and I honestly cannot fault the service I received. Both Connie and Hannah were excellent, they immediately put me at ease and clearly know their stuff.

The whole experience was professional, relaxing, and carried out to a very high standard. I would highly recommend Rushton Hall Spa if you’re looking for eye tinting and waxing treatments.

Disappointed
Pros:

Good bits- stunning building , beautiful grounds, great staff .
Not so good - tatty room .. paying over £300 a night I really didn’t expect mould in the bathroom , missing tap fittings and cheap shower fittings and flooring .
Shabby spa facilities with mouldy tiles by the jacuzzi and ceiling falling down above the pool
Overpriced drinks and food which was tepid at best with cheap feeling glassware
Self service tea coffee and toast - I’d expect this in a Premier Inn but not in a hotel charging above the odds .
A real shame when it could be so special with an eye for detail

Spa day at The Stables
Pros:

Spa day at The Stables was absolutely wonderful .The atmosphere was calm and relaxing from start to finish, and the facilities were beautifully maintained — the perfect place to switch off and unwind.

A special mention must go to Margaret from the café, who truly went above and beyond to make our day extra special. Her warm, friendly service and attention to detail made such a difference and really enhanced our overall experience.

A fantastic spa day all round. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend The Stables to anyone looking for a relaxing treat.

Disappointing experience in a beautiful setting.
Pros:

Very impressive building with lovely communal areas so I had high expectations on arrival. The bar is in a beautiful high ceilinged room where we had a light lunch before checking in. My room was a good size and decorated in pleasant neutral tones but really let down by a very badly stained cream carpet. Everywhere you look there are large brown stains where something has been spilled. It gives a really bad impression. The bathroom was a good size with a very powerful over bath shower but a pretty disgusting seal on the shower glass. I don’t know why hotels don’t replace these when they are full of gunk as it’s such a cheap thing to do. I ate dinner in the brasserie which I’d say was ok but not great followed by breakfast in the morning which was very poor. Quality of the food was Premier inn level and its scattered over three rooms. Tea and coffee was also serve yourself which is really not good enough for £350 a night. I made use of the pool and steam room while I was there and I did enjoy that. I had it to myself at 7 in the morning but there are lots of loungers so that shouldn’t be a problem. There were four of us staying in 3 rooms and they had very similar experiences. We all said we wouldn’t stay overnight again but would have a spa day there. Finally to the staff, some were really lovely and obviously cared about quality of service. Our waitress at dinner was lovely and friendly but others seemed completely indifferent to any issues we raised. Come for the location and setting but don’t come for the food or the quality of the rooms.

Brilliant hospitality, food and wine quality is superb! Fabulous place to have a retreat.
Pros:

This has been our second visit and what a wonderful time we had.
Dave welcomes you and it was nice that he recognised us from before. Dave is very attentive and helpful, he is a real asset to Rushton.

The rooms are incredible and we do always struggle to leave as everyone is welcoming and their hospitality is brilliant.

The food is impeccable and never disappoints. We have eaten in the brasserie having dinner on our first visit and a Sunday lunch and the food was amazing. It was a beautiful touch that one of the waitresses complimented our wine choices. Definitely recommend the Cremant and Pinor Noir.

The spa area provides a lovely relax. Some minor fixing to the window will have everything in good shape, but it is clean and the treatments are very relaxing.

It’s become our favourite retreat and we will be back as we thoroughly enjoyed every part of our time there.

Great staff, especially David the Concierge.
Pros:

We have stayed at Rushton Hall many times over the years. It is very unique and all the rooms we have stayed in have been individually special. The staff are great, professional and very courteous.
This visit, we met David the concierge. What a cheerful and great guy. He looked after us from the moment we arrived. We had a problem with poor Wi-Fi in the room we got. Having spoken to David, he found us an equally beautiful room within 15 minutes and checked the Wi-Fi with me before we moved there. He greeted us by name every time our paths crossed during our stay. I hope he is there to greet us the next time we visit.

Wonderful relaxing spa experience and dinner in The Brasserie
Pros:

We had a wonderful mother and daughter spa day at Rushton Hall. Started out in the gym which is quite small but had all the basics for a work out. We were luck to have the lovely pool area to ourselves for an hour relaxing on the comfy sun beds using the hot tub.

At 12.15pm we both REALLY enjoyed our fantastic Rushton Hall relaxing full body massage (my therapist was Corinna who was excellent),

We had a £15 voucher towards lunch in the cafe which was a fresh light salad- several other options available. Then it was back to the pool area for more relaxation using the sauna and steam rooms before getting ready for a bottle of champagne in the historic Great Hall dating from 1438.

Later joined by family for a delicious dinner in the Brasserie restaurant where the service we received was impeccable especially from Caroline who gave us a guided tour of the cellar beneath the hotel with a secret escape tunnel for Catholic priests during the time of the Gunpowder Plot).

It was a memorable ending to a great day out!

Beautiful historic building, must see!
Pros:

This is outstandingly beautiful place, the palace/ hall is amazing. The grounds are beautiful , the hotel itself is so very beautiful. If you like historical building, this is a place for you.
Nice spacious rooms with all the necessary toiletries and bath robs, slippers, safe etc. Very happy with the room itself. Service can be at times slow, but in general satisfactory. We did not eat dinner or lunch at the hotel, but the breakfast was good.
