White Horse Hotel

It was nasty, the whole place shares a bathroom and there was feces in the toilet.

The property itself was unique as to where it was located and the small town, old west atmosphere. The stay was good, but we didn’t really stay because we were spending the day at silverwood theme park. We were taken back that they allowed smoking in the hotel up to a certain area, which didn’t really sit well especially when you are allergic to the smoke. It really doesn’t say that. We were also disappointed that while we were at the park, they cancelled our reservation and blamed it on upgrading the reservation software and once they found the reservation and produced the receipt we got a different room which didn’t have what I originally purchased and when asked, told that room was rented out. Not pleased, but we were ok with it until we found out that the room we stayed in was almost 1/4 the price of what I paid because it didn’t have an en-suite bathroom.

All in all it was ok, but wouldn’t recommend staying their unless it’s a last resort. Even the amenities that were offered were disappointing because there was just no towels and had to use our own towels, but didn’t have enough hanging places or drier to dry the towels for continued use. So if you chose to stay bring towels and don’t expect to see any staff to even ask simple questions that a traveler might ask.

I didn’t like them smoking in my face while I was talking to them, they were rude on the phone when I was having car problems, and they didn’t know what room we were in and we had to wait almost 20 minutes to see what room we were in. They should have known that by the time I got there and could have been more professional . This hotel was a joke.also the pictures online are so not what the rooms were. They were so Much worse.

I wish that I would have come to this town and hostel/hotel with my partner. Going with the kids even though they are older was not my best choice but I really loved the atmosphere of the bar downstairs and the bartender let me in after hours. I really would have loved to stay and hang out. Looks like a fun place! Bedroom was super clean and the shower was very modern and had good quality products. No TV which I really was good with.

I booked a room with kitchenette. There wasn't a refrigerator or microwave. There were electrical outlets in the proper location for both appliances but they weren't there. The only thing that existed was a kitchen sink in a cabinet.

we were not expecting to be in a room above a very smoky bar. it was not the type of establishment that I was comfortable staying with my children in. we did not stay, the whole place was permeated with the smell of cigarette smoke, it was disgusting.

Such a cute place! Stayed on the 3rd floor. Clean room , clean sheets. Bed was very comfy

they do not give you towels and the employees and non existent so you cant ask for any

We really enjoyed the historic part of the building. The room we stayed in was super clean, the bathroom was updated with a great shower, and the overall feel was very comfortable.

You get what you pay for!!!!!! Just needed a place to stay for the night. We were on 2nd floor went up to room it was a joke the terrible karaoke in bar downstairs was sooo loud, I was instantly regretting my decision. There’s a door in room I open it and there’s someone else room? Kinda creepy it didn’t lock? Sat on bed it was broken my butt hit the floor. On a good note we instantly got moved to 3rd floor which is considered an upgrade, it was way more private and quiet. If you stay here definitely request 3rd floor.

Needed a close overnight place near Athol for a family wedding. Nice quaint "biker bar" front, restaurant had fantastic prime rib, the rooms were very clean and newly painted, friendly staff, bed was perfect. Thanks so much! Ok, the room was very tiny but we did have a private bath.

Likes how homie the room felt, bed was actually jice and comfortable, was able to get a goodnight sleep. Would recommend to a friend.

Everyone is so friendly, bathrooms are beautiful. Can’t wait to visit again!

Our family went to visit Silverwood and hesitantly stayed here at White Horse Hotel/Hostel due to the online reviews... but to our surprise this place was AMAZING (We stayed on the 3rd floor), and we will definitely be going back. Freshly remodeled, modern, clean and economical rooms (we had 2 adjoining with a private bathroom) in a quiet small town about 15 min from Silverwood. Yes, there is a small bar/grill below but noise/cigarette smoke was not an issue for us on the 3rd floor. Another thing that was good was the hassle-free check-in. The room keys were ready for us when we arrived, so no long check-in process like at other hotels. There were no TVs and wifi was spotty but this actually turned out great for our teenage boys to let go of technology and do some extra bonding with us, as a family. I highly recommend this hotel.

I didn't even stay here. I reserved it the day of and they didn't refund me because I had to pull back on plans. This ISNT A HOTEL. YOU SHARE BATHROOMS. They shouldnt use false advertising and they need to rethink their refunding policy especially when someone reserved same day and they don't have a policy against that

I reserved a king room with private bathroom, they overbooked so I got a queen room with a shared bathroom. Not pleased

It has been nice before. This time other guest made a mess. Music downstaires from jukebox was really loud. Someone got inside and kept stomping up the stairs really drunk alnost yelling about not having a room and stomping down the hallway for about an hour.

We liked the kindness of the people and the good service

The room.was very clean and quiet, but is very hot and has no airflow.
