Pros:

Friendly staff

Cons:

There was a room that had visitors with 2 dogs in their room. The dogs were barking all night while their owners were at the pub downstairs. I got up to go to the bathroom and outside my door was a dog along with its poop. This dog had been running up and down the hall way for quiet some time.
The owners of the dogs were not controlling their pets at all. We ended up leaving at 10pm and drove home 4 hours.
The most unpleasant night I have had in a long time.

The staff were very friendly.
It's an old hotel as some of the reviews state but I found it comfortable and quite okay for my overnight stay. There was lots of guests there who said they were regulars.
I particularly liked the little breakfast nook they had, with fresh bread, milk, tea coffe and cereal provided.. I would stay here again.

Pros:

Friendly enviro, staff welcomed us and made as feel like locals. Great showers, breakfast cereals and toast/spreads included. The bistro is good, steak was great, and wife had the Salmon, also great. If.you dont mind old pub rooms with shared facilities, you should enjoy your stay.

Always a joy, good vibe, economical but might look elsewhere next year.
Pros:

No expectations it’s old and up for sale otherwise you’d be saying the inside needs to be gutted and renovate the outside. Food is great and plentiful, hospitality welcoming and efficient.

Cons:

The bedding and linen - clean yes but hadn’t seen an iron.
