Pro Chill Krabi Guesthouse

Staff was excellent

It was truly a pleasure to stay at Pro Chill Guesthouse, so much so we stayed an extra night. The owners organised a scooter for us with a trustworthy shop in town for a good price of 250 baht per day. Deposit is passport but that is normal.
Laundry is super cheap here, 50 baht per load.
The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfy. The only recommendation I would give for improvement is a larger blanket, or replace blanket with a duvet on the bed - I found myself wrestling with my better half for the blanket in the night, which meant I had minimal cover.
The shower is hot and the air conditioning works well.
One thing to note is the location, it would probably take approx 30-45 mins to walk to the main town, however this never bothered us as we always rode our motorbike. But on the other hand there are some great local Thai restaurants which are so cheap and you won't find anything like them in the main town.

We were greeted warmly & checked in quickly then shown to a room on floor 3. The room was clean & functional with a TV (no English channels) & ensuite wet room. There was no fridge or tea/coffee making facilities in the room but a cheap, strong coffee could be bought for next to nothing downstairs. The area itself was typically Thai but lacked many nearby restaurants. It was quite a hike into town but this was easily solved by renting a moped via reception. We were greeted daily with a warm smile and genuine interest in our plans/adventures.
All in all, it was good value for money & we couldn't have felt more welcomed.

The Pro Chill Krabi Guesthouse is a great hotel if you want somewhere to stay; away from the touristy areas. It's not quite in Krabi Town where most of that stuff is, maybe 20-30 minutes walk.
It's in a very local area with some great restaurants notably one conveniently next door with an English menu and one down the street to the right which sells some of the best Esan/Isaan food I've had in Thailand.

The rooms are fairly standard, most have at least a chair and a bed, some are bigger with beds. The bathrooms are a wet-room format so be aware if you want to use the toilet recently after a shower. The air conditioner worked fine, most of the fixtures are pretty new there it seems.
The beds are quite soft, especially for Thai standards too.

The staff are very helpful and can arrange you trips for a discount, also were very helpful on giving information on where to go locally to do things and bookings taxis. Services like laundry are available, for 40 baht a kilo.

Overall, I would highly recommend staying there if you are ok with a bit of a trek to the local nightlife and a 30 minute drive to the beaches.
