The Food was excellent

The staff was good, the pool area was nice

We had lunch at the bar and breakfast at the restaurant. Both were excellent

We went for a quick getaway to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and everything was perfect! Maria Andersen at the front desk was amazing! She was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure he had a special stay; she was able to upgrade us to a bayfront view and even had macarons and champagne waiting for us in the room! Would definitely stay here again when we’re in Sarasota next! Oh, and the beds were very comfortable!

Breakfast was cold

We arrived NYE to a packed hotel. Everyone working the hotel seemed extremely busy. Notwithstanding all of the busy pre-new years happenings, the staff was extremely courteous and professional. In particular, Marcia and Maria at the front desk were the best. Getting into our room was slightly delayed, but we were well taken care of. We were given a very nice room on a high floor from where we were able to see the fireworks. Every time we walked past the front desk during our short stay, both Marcia and Maria greeted us with a wave hello and nice smile. The staff at the restaurant was also excellent. We were in a rush to catch our flight and they were able to get us fed and on our way with time to spare. I would definitely come back. The service alone made this stay special.

Another wonderful stay at the Westin - a night 'get away' that we have done in the past, was time for it again. Maria was amazing as she checked on us and are arrival to make sure our requested early checkin was available. Even know it was busy, Maria kept an eye on our arrival and as we checked in, the room was just finished being ready. As an Top Bonvoy Member I get treated well all over the world - but NOTHING comes close to the attention we get at the Westin. Everyone is always good to us as we get away, even for one night close to home. Maria always makes it extra special as a returning guest to the point that she even remembered our favorite wine and it was waiting for us. Always a warm feeling to be remembered and welcomed like it was our second home - Maria and the Westin staff always makes us feel that way.

Great staff!

This was a very positive experience. I was upgraded to a room overlooking the marina. Also, the person checking me in asked if I wanted late checkout which I did so, even though I was only there for one night, I didn't have to check out until 4:00pm. Not sure if this was because of my status or if this is offered to everyone. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything was in good condition. Definitely a 4-star level of quality. The staff were all very friendly and helpful including the valet, the bellman, the person who checked me in, as well as the waitstaff in the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located near the marina and there are nearby shops and restaurants within walking distance. They also have a shuttle which we were able to take to Lido Beach, St. Armand's Circle, and downtown Sarasota.

The hotel has a rooftop bar and pool which gorgeous views but the menu was pretty limited so we ended up going to Marina Jack's for dinner. We did have breakfast in the hotel's restaurant and that was good.

Yes it's quite pricey but I felt like we got our money's worth.

NOTE: If you have a car, you must use valet parking which is $50 plus there's a resort fee in addition to the cost of your hotel room. Again, it's expensive but it felt worth it for the quality of the whole experience.

We visited the Westin for two nights. The staff opened doors, quickly parked our vehicle and welcomed us at the front desk graciously. The cleaning staff accommodated everything and gave us more supplies than we needed! All was quiet and still as we slept. We dined and dined on delicious food in town and took a fantastic sunset cruise out of Marina Jack’s. We shall put in our memory bank. Don’t forget to grab a cocktail on the roof top bar!

We had a wonderful experience at the Westin Sarasota. The hotel was decked out for the holiday with a large center tree that I loved and did a picture in front of, it was centrally located, and only 1500 steps to Starbucks and everything available nearby. Also no rental car was needed! :) But what truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service we received, particularly from the front desk rep Maria Andersen.

Maria was friendly and sweet. She was a gem of a representative. It was great to get her overview of the amenities available, her tips on where to go for dinner spots nearby, the rooftop bar and pool info were recommended, and the shuttle service was available for short trips. She even offered us a complimentary upgrade to combine our multiple separate night reservations to a room with a balcony and beautiful view! It was a special getaway that had been rescheduled from 2 month’s prior. We were welcomed our first evening by a bottle of our favorite wine and sweets in the room, which Maria sent to us. It was wonderful to interact with someone who was not just checking you in but greeting and welcoming you in for a stay experience.

We also enjoyed plenty of time on the rooftop by the pool and by the restaurant/bar with gorgeous 360 views of Sarasota. We had lunch on the rooftop and the mahi sandwich and shrimp cobb salad were delicious. Plenty of shaded areas to eat and get out of the sun. They had a salsa night on Thursday, which seems to be a weekly event and was so festive and fun. The views were phenomenal and the staff on the rooftop, especially Mike, Kat and Jose, were on top of everything. Service at the chair loungers and tables was quick, friendly and simply fantastic. Breakfast at their restaurant Evoq was also excellent.

My stay at The Westin Sarasota was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the level of service and hospitality exceeded every expectation.

A very special mention goes to Maria Anderson, who was an incredible host throughout our visit. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. Maria made us feel welcomed and valued at every step — she is a true asset to the property.

I also want to recognize Gil Reyes, the General Manager, whose leadership is clearly reflected in the hotel’s impeccable service, well-maintained facilities, and positive team culture. Everything ran seamlessly thanks to his exceptional management.

The rooms were pristine, the views were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and elegant.

Without a doubt, 5 stars. We will definitely be returning!
