Your room charge on the bill was totally incomprehensible and did not represent the expected charge. After my query the bill was adjusted to the proper amount. Being in the hotel business for many years, and after a number of discussions with one of your supervisors, I strongly urge you to than correct your system to one that is comprehensible to your customers. Other than that our stay was very nice and the staff and facilities were 1st

The smell of the carpet in the room was problematic

A lovely hotel, the staff was great, location great.
I signed up for a partial view room and based upon the pictures I thought i was getting a partial view of the ocean. What i did get was an interior view of the circular driveway and valet parking area. I called the front desk to ask and they said that’s what I signed up for. The description was very misleading. It didn’t end up mattering too much because i was at wedding events most of the time, but given I paid almost $1,400 for three nights i was disappointed.

We went for a quick getaway to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and everything was perfect! Maria Andersen at the front desk was amazing! She was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure he had a special stay; she was able to upgrade us to a bayfront view and even had macarons and champagne waiting for us in the room! Would definitely stay here again when we’re in Sarasota next! Oh, and the beds were very comfortable!
Breakfast was cold
We arrived NYE to a packed hotel. Everyone working the hotel seemed extremely busy. Notwithstanding all of the busy pre-new years happenings, the staff was extremely courteous and professional. In particular, Marcia and Maria at the front desk were the best. Getting into our room was slightly delayed, but we were well taken care of. We were given a very nice room on a high floor from where we were able to see the fireworks. Every time we walked past the front desk during our short stay, both Marcia and Maria greeted us with a wave hello and nice smile. The staff at the restaurant was also excellent. We were in a rush to catch our flight and they were able to get us fed and on our way with time to spare. I would definitely come back. The service alone made this stay special.
Another wonderful stay at the Westin - a night 'get away' that we have done in the past, was time for it again. Maria was amazing as she checked on us and are arrival to make sure our requested early checkin was available. Even know it was busy, Maria kept an eye on our arrival and as we checked in, the room was just finished being ready. As an Top Bonvoy Member I get treated well all over the world - but NOTHING comes close to the attention we get at the Westin. Everyone is always good to us as we get away, even for one night close to home. Maria always makes it extra special as a returning guest to the point that she even remembered our favorite wine and it was waiting for us. Always a warm feeling to be remembered and welcomed like it was our second home - Maria and the Westin staff always makes us feel that way.
