Our stay at The Westin Sarasota was simply perfect from the moment we arrived. The very first impression made all the difference, and that was thanks to María. She welcomed us with such kindness and warmth that we immediately felt at home.
María speaks Spanish, which made us feel comfortable and confident throughout our stay. She patiently answered all of our questions, explained everything step by step, and was always willing to help whenever we needed anything. No matter how many times we came to her, she greeted us with a smile and genuine enthusiasm. She even gave us helpful tips and made sure we had the type of room we wanted. Her exceptional service truly made our vacation even more special.
The rooms are beautiful, the views are breathtaking, and we absolutely loved the rooftop, the pool, and the bar area. Everything exceeded our expectations.
Additional note: One of the main reasons we chose The Westin Sarasota was because we were traveling with our dog. We were delighted to see how pet-friendly the hotel is. The pet fee was very reasonable, which made it an easy decision to bring our furry family member with us instead of leaving him elsewhere. We truly appreciated how welcome he was made to feel throughout our stay.
A hotel can be beautiful, but it's the people who make an experience unforgettable. María was the reason our stay started as a 10 out of 10 from the very beginning. Thank you, The Westin Sarasota, for such an incredible experience. We can't wait to come back!

Every staff member from the parking valet, to check-in, to restaurant service, to poolside service was absolutely top notch! What I loved most was how happy the staff were and how well trained in hospitality they were. Always trying to improve our experience and we're all genuinely interested in how we were and how they could make it better. Rooms fully stocked with any amenities we could need, beds were luxurious, robes, wonderful view from our balcony on 17th floor overlooking the city with a little view of the bay. Loved our stay and the hotel surely made the stay even more memorable. Great location! Great hotel management which is visible through the pristine presentation and the smiles on staff faces!! A++!

Short trip to Lido Key and walking distance to bars and restaurants.

Unfortunately, my experience at the Westin was very disappointing.
From the moment we arrived, there was only one person working at the front desk, resulting in a long wait just to check in.
The biggest issue, however, was the valet service. We requested our vehicle and were told by Crystal that it would be about a five-minute wait. After waiting 30 minutes, we went back to ask for an update and were told the car was “on the way.” That wasn’t true. It became apparent that our keys had been misplaced, and they were still searching for them.
In total, we waited approximately one hour to get our car back. Because of this delay, we missed our dinner reservation and were charged a cancellation fee.
What made the situation even more frustrating was Crystal’s attitude and lack of communication. Each time we asked for an update, we received nothing more than a brief “it’s on the way,” even though that was clearly not the case. There was no explanation, no acknowledgment that our keys had been misplaced, and not even a simple apology for the inconvenience. A sincere apology and honest communication would have gone a long way.
For a hotel that markets itself as a luxury property, I expected much better organization, customer service, and accountability. This experience put a significant damper on our stay, and I hope improvements are made to both staffing and the valet operation so future guests don’t experience the same frustration.

A few weeks have passed since my wife and I celebrated our anniversary at The Westin Sarasota, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your team.
After my first stay, I couldn’t stop talking about how welcomed I felt and how much I enjoyed the hotel. I even joked that you all made me feel like a VIP. When it came time to plan our anniversary, I told my wife there was only one place I wanted to take her, and I’m happy to say that The Westin Sarasota exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as I had remembered—and somehow even better. Our room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the food and overall atmosphere made for a perfect getaway. The marina view was simply picture-perfect, and seeing my wife’s reaction as she experienced it all for the first time made the trip even more special.
The greatest compliment I can give is this: the experience lived up to everything I had promised her. That is a testament to the consistency and professionalism of your entire team.
Please extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make our anniversary such a memorable occasion. You have certainly earned two loyal guests, and we are already looking forward to returning for another stay.
