Muy recomendable. Fuimos de vacaciones con mi pareja y nos llevamos una grata impresión de la hospitalidad.

- La ubicación estratégica, muy cerca del puerto para movernos con facilidad a los diferentes puntos donde queríamos ir (Tortuga Bay, playa Los Alemanes, las Grietas, islas varias, etc.).

- El hostal muy limpio, el dormitorio impecable.Disponíamos de una zona común con cocina compartida que siempre viene bien. También zona de hamacas para descansar.

- La señora Esther se portó extraordinariamente bien con nosotros, muy hospitalaria, siempre pendiente de que no nos falte nada, nos preparaba un desayuno completo con tortillas, huevos, jugo y café recién hecho. Su hermano también muy servicial nos llevó por un tour a Los Gemelos, Rancho El Chato, playa Los Garrapateros, etc... Realmente un trato familiar que nos hizo sentir como en casa.

En nuestro próximo viaje, repetiremos seguro!

Good room, unpleasant dealing with the staff
Pros:

The location is close to the main street. The room is decent sized.
Has hot water and air conditioning.

Cons:

The owner entered my room while I was gone without my consent. Counted my money so went through my personal stuff as well.

Tried to charge me another full room price for having a guest a few hours, when I showed her that on booking.com is only one dollar difference per night she told me her rules are different from booking.com. in the end she tried to not give me my change back even though she said she will a few days before.

It was my most unpleasant experience in over 25 hosts and 6 coutries in South America. I felt like I had little privacy, if I wanted to live with the landlord I would have got a room in an apartment or a house, not a private hostal room.

Cons:

When i arrived Carlos said there was a burst pipe and i could not stay. I was lead to another hotel, and they said that Carlos hotel was full. So why did he have to lie about the pipe? Expect the possibility to be turned away

Awesome!
Pros:

Location is excellent - quiet yet close to everything - and the staff were lovely and welcoming! We were able to check-in a bit early, and enjoyed the comfortable bed and awesome air-conditioning. Wifi was strong and reliable in our room, and having a small kitchenette was handy on days we wanted to save a bit of money.

Cons:

Hot water in the shower was a bit temperamental but nothing outrageous - was still nice to have hot water to wash the sunscreen off!
