The Staff was super friendly. The environment was luxurious, clean and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We usually get a free breakfast where we stay.
The lights need dimmers in room and bathroom
Location, suite was nice and roomy, very clean.
It was very close to Dollywood and a wonderful cozy place to relax after a day in the park. The room was perfect for our family and quite comfortable. We were able to enjoy a meal by the fireplace in the fox den. Check in and out was seamless. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
Nothing

We were here3 nights no one cleaned our room or brought towels
I can't say enough great things about Black Fox Lodge! I'm truly grateful for lodging accommodations that are NOT pet friendly. This is like trying to find Atlantis these days but thank you, Black Fox Lodge for clean, pet-free accommodations. The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The building is pretty pristine and smells fresh and clean. It's convenient to all things Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and easy to get in and out of. I would happily stay there again and highly recommend it!
The only thing I can think of for this would be maybe a plastic bag inside the closet for dirty clothes.
Nice property. Stayed there before and was great.
One of the rooms tv did not work and toilet was coming off the floor. They fixed TV promptly. Something very sticky on the phone and still there the next day.
I stayed here while attending the Stitching in the Smokies retreat which was held at the Lodge. Check in was easy with information given about elevator, locations of the stitching room, bar/breakfast, and coffee at that time. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was pleased to see a step-in shower versus tub. Every employee offered a smile and spoke in passing. The conference room where the retreat was held was nice and well lit. The two lunch buffets that were included were very good, especially the macaroni and cheese and the pulled pork.
Despite not getting the week we wanted to travel w the certificate, we had a wonderful vacation. Black Fox Lodge was very accommodating considering what our expectations were when we received the certificate. The resort was beautiful. We also expected free breakfast every am but there was a charge. Was expecting a condo but were happy w the two bedroom instead of hotel room w two queens and sofa sleeper. I would definitely stay there again knowing all the terms in advance. Beds were a little hard and would prefer walk in shower. Tubs are outdated. Large master bathroom which was wonderful.
PROS: Clean, friendly staff, quiet, and location (in Pigeon Forge).
CONS: Overpriced, not a lodge, no real views of mountains (Pigeon Forge is a relatively flat area).
OVERALL: This is a slightly upgraded Hampton Inn except that you have to pay for buffet breakfast. However, given Pigeon Forge, it's probably one of the nicer places in town.
We stayed at the Black Fox for a family "destination wedding." The wedding itself was not held at the hotel, but it was the hotel that the wedding party set up for guests.
The Black Fox is a comfortable place, nicely decorated and well maintained. Our ground floor room had a patio that looked out on the little river that runs through the town. The hotel has a restaurant and bar that look nice, although we did not dine or drink there. The fitness room is decent. It's a pleasant place to stay.
The main drawback for us, which we admit is related to our travel preferences, is that Pigeon Forge is essentially a car-dependent schlocky theme park. It's full of chain restaurants and entertainment venues similar to what one might find at a state fair. I'm sure it appeals to many people, but not us. The Black Fox is not located in a particularly walkable neighborhood. There is an entrance to a nice walking path a few blocks away, but it takes a while to get to anything like an authentic neighborhood and park along the path.
The drawbacks of Pigeon Forge are not the fault of the hotel. If you focus only on what's inside the hotel, it's a very nice place to stay.
