This is a nice hotel in the middle of everything.
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gnanam. We loved the design of the room with a sitting area, desk, large bed and refrigerator. It was nice to have a luggage rack. The hotel is in the center of town. It is loud and exciting. We found if we closed the bathroom doors that the noise quieted down. We loved being so close to everything. The veg breakfast was fine with fruit and yogurt… and they have the best black coffee! The other restaurant at the end of the parking lot was very nice with lots of choices hot spice and not hot spice, vegetarian and meat lovers, alcohol and no alcohol. We very much enjoyed our six days in Thanjavur at this hotel.

We had a lovely stay.

Totally dissatisfied & disappointed
Cons:

Not informed that Renovation was happening...Rooms were extremely dusty. Should hv updated in Booking.com earlier about renovations do we could choose other hotels to stay. Over priced for the facilities.

THERE IA NO ADEQUATE STAFF STRENGTH. NEED TO IMPROVE. ROOM SERVICE NOT DELIVERED THOUGH SERVICE WAS AVAILABLE ON THE CARDS. COFFEE/TEA WAS NOT AVAILABLE AT EARLY MORNING (even @ 6 am)

Pros:

Pour une étape d'une ou deux nuits, cet hôtel est très bien.
Le personnel patient et réactif.
Chambre impeccable.
Bon petit déjeuner.

Cons:

Rien en particulier mais l'hôtel est situé sur une assez grosse artère sans charme.

Perfection
Pros:

We were 9 in 3 rooms.
Everything was perfect.
Rooms were very clean.
All equipments were great.
The restaurant next to the hotel was really good with high quality service.

Charming well priced hotel but needs pool or garden to sit out.
Pros:

Staff charming and friendly. Junior suite was great good AC comfortable bed. Quiet.

Pure veg restaurant meant no breakfast eggs so need to be ready for limited choices. . There is a bar next door for wider breakfast choices. And one can get a beer there and dinner.

Cons:

Hotel was great but city of Tanjevore has not much to see so 2 days covers it. It was hot so we had to stay at hotel during middle of the day but no outdoor area to sit and No pool. 3 days was too long. Missed finding walking streets. Area around bus station not interesting or pleasant to walk unlike North Indian cities.

Temples were wonderful but auto is needed. Streets around hotel not pleasant with heavy traffic.

Good location, friendly stuff.

Cons:

The breakfast should be served from 7 but it’s not. We had to leave at 7.30 but they were not ready with breakfast until 7.25
