Relaxing break in beautiful surroundings
Pros:

This is a real gem situated in a beautiful, quiet location, a short walk from the seafront. The hotel has lovely gardens with access to The Byes.
The staff were all outstanding - friendly, polite, efficient and helpful - nothing was ever too much trouble.
Breakfasts and evening meals were excellent with a different menu every evening.
There is plenty of seating in the lounge area and outside on the terrace and in the gardens.
There was also plenty of parking.
A very peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

Cons:

Nothing

Utterly amazing, would highly recommend to anyone wanting a truly relaxing and luxurious stay.
Pros:

The service is phenomenal, the food is incredible, it's our third time here and it's just so beautiful. The extra details really just add an extra something to the stay - lemon infused water on the lawn, the white cloth table service, the beautifully kept gardens, the amazing staff. Would recommend to anyone wanting a really luxury stay.

Delioghtful .
Pros:

I have been staying in hotels around the world, both on business and for leisure, for more years than I care to remember. Every so often, I am fortunate enough to discover a true hidden gem.
The Hunters Moon, Sid Road, Sidmouth, Devon EX10 9AA, is undoubtedly one of them.
Value for Money
The room rates are exceptionally reasonable, offering outstanding value for the quality of the experience. Next time, I will certainly book directly with the hotel for what I understand are even better rates.
The Room
My room was simply excellent. It was immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed, with plenty of conveniently placed power sockets, and a beautiful bathroom featuring both a superb bath and an excellent shower. Housekeeping was faultless, with the room serviced promptly at the same time each day.
Parking
There is ample free parking around the hotel, making arrival and departure completely stress-free.
The Grounds
The grounds are magnificent—beautifully maintained with numerous peaceful spots to sit and relax. If you enjoy a little putting, the hotel's own putting green is a delightful addition.
The Food
This is where The Hunters Moon truly excels. The evening menu changes daily, offering imaginative, fresh dishes prepared with obvious skill and care. Every meal I enjoyed was cooked to perfection. My sincere compliments to the chef, whose passion shines through every plate.
Breakfast
Breakfast is every bit as impressive. The choice is extensive, with genuinely fresh fruit, a superb Full English, traditional kippers, and an Eggs Benedict with ham that deserves a special mention—it was simply outstanding.
The Staff
A great hotel is defined by its people, and The Hunters Moon has assembled an exceptional team. Every member of staff we encountered was welcoming, enthusiastic, professional and genuinely happy to help. Their warmth and constant smiles made an already wonderful stay even more memorable.

Cons:

Leaving.

Pros:

Lovely hotel & the staff were all really helpful & friendly
Brilliant location for access to town whilst feeling like a quiet country hotel

Cons:

Windows only opened very slightly & it was extremely hot, I appreciate the H&D concerns but a bit more than 4" would be good.

Gorgeous quiet hotel, with exceptional dining!
Pros:

Lovely quiet hotel. Well situated for town and the beach. Good parking and lovely grounds. Very peaceful location next to the Byes. Our breakfast and evening meal was exceptional. Lovely, friendly staff, made our stay very enjoyable. We have another holiday already booked.

Cons:

Slightly dated bathroom but not really a problem. We were up on the top floor in the roof. Excellent views, but very hot. We did have some very warm weather during our stay though, so difficult for anyone to stay cool. Would have loved a mini fridge to keep drinks cold.

Lovely food at dinner & good choice at breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet location in extensive grounds, with a putting green! Fabulous Georgian building.

10 minutes walk to the front - no problem for us but maybe for others. Likewise, room was on the top floor up several stairs.
