Best location for hiking in the lower Peaks
Pros:

Nice and bright pub. Mix grill was amazing, just what I needed after a long hike. Big rooms, beds, TV, bathroom with both bath and shower. Kettle. Breakfast was really nice to.
Great location for hiking locations such as Crich, Lea bridge, Cromford canal, Cromford and Matlock bath, and the start of the Peak district.

Pros:

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful.

Cons:

The food was disappointing for a pub that sells itself on food. At breakfast the tea was bag not pot and the coffee was instant which seemed surprising.

A gem of a find.
Pros:

What a beautiful place. I was amazed to find a sofa for relaxing in my room. The staff were all really friendly and my emails were answered quickly and efficiently. As a bonus (which didn't have a benefit to me) they let the village cars park there when dropping off their kids at the local school, which is a lovely touch.

Cons:

Nothing to see here folks, keep moving.
