Hotel excellent, parent company poor
Pros:

We were very pleased with our stay, clean comfortable, good food and pleasant staff. Good location for visiting many local places of interest.

Cons:

We were unavoidable delayed and could not find a telephone number to warn the hotel. All numbers (about three) including that on booking.com took us through to the parent company booking site that simple said it was closed for the weekend and endef the call. This added considerable stress to our journey. I consider this very poor customer service of the parent company, not the hotel itself.

Great friendly pub B&B with top-notch breakfast
Pros:

Great place, staff, food and countryside. We'd happily stay again (and I don't normally like to stay in a place more than once).

Hands down one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Obviously a recent high quality build / refurbishment. Well appointed throughout. Lovely interior décor with quality materials. A real pleasure to visit.

Spot on for what we wanted
Pros:

Very clean and tidy everywhere , staff very amiable, plenty of parking , food great both breakfast and evening meal. A very good atmosphere in the restaurant.All in all a great place for a stopover and chill !!!!

Halfway house for me
Pros:

Perfect place to stay to break up a longer journey headed north.
Rooms are spacious, warm, very clean and comfortable.
Restaurant offers good food and breakfast options are great.
