Good location but not easy to get to if you are flying internationally
WiFi not free unless you are a Marriott Bonvoy member
Location close to the airport, very welcoming, clean and new.
Valet was really great and very professional, they properly greeted me, opened the car doors, helped with my luggages, the hotel staff weren’t bad, it’s just where I was placed.
I was placed in a room exactly next to the fitness room, I couldn’t really get sleep because of people working out early in morning dropping dumbbells constantly to the ground, could’ve been around 6:00am. At around 8am when I finally was deep asleep I was waken up by housekeeping knocking on the door, and couldn’t go back to sleep no matter how hard I tried and I was really pissed, because I had a 10 hour drive to Florida. My question is if check out is at 11:00am, why would housekeeping be knocking on the door at 8:00am.
Breakfast and dinner was wonderful
Stellar stay at Renaissance Gateway! As others mention, this hotel doesn’t feel like an airport hotel - well insulated. No noise from outside
Our group of 40+ utilized many rooms, meeting space, and catering services. All meals were wonderful. I encountered a LOT of the hotel staff during my 4 days and EVERYONE was very professional
Great room - above average gym - nice concierge lounge - highly recommend this hotel!
I only stayed for one night. My room was immaculately clean, the bed very comfortable and the shower was top-notch. I stayed on the fifth floor. The room was so well insulated I couldn’t hear the constant drone of airplanes taking off. I enjoyed drinks at the bar, dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the following morning. The food was nicely presented and tasty. The best part of my stay, however was the staff. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I can’t say enough about the service I received. It was excellent!
I am a Marriott Ambassador member, had a cleared upgrade for a critical business meeting for my reservation tomorrow that was issued by the hotel on 11/27. The hotel, without even contacting me, revoked the upgrade and didn't have the courtesy to even tell me. I had to contact Marriot International to get them to intervene, and they still didn't provide the promised upgrade, leaving me in a bind and having to secure other meeting space for my meeting tomorrow. The hotel staff would not even let me speak with a manager. Completely unacceptable customer service, especially for Marriott's most loyal members!
Very good
We had a false fire alarm at 4am
Very disturbing and no help from night staff regarding the validity of the alarm
Everything was smooth and the staff did an amazing job making us feel welcome.
Staff were super helpful and very welcoming

We first stayed here maybe 15 years ago but this hotel has been well maintained and still feels fairly new. Beds are great and the rooms are quiet. I did not use the lounge this time but it is a bit on the smaller side. Look the more unique design and fixtures used in this hotel to separate it from every other hotel. Hotel is an easy about 300 foot walk from the station to the hotel. Highly recommend if you are staying overnight at the airport.
Pros: 2 minutes walk to domestic train. Approximately 5 minutes train ride to domestic terminal. The room was clean. And spacious.
Cons: not the most welcoming staff. I’ve had better and worse. My profile specifically states high floor and far from elevators. My room was 2 doors around the corner from the elevator, so I had to unfortunately hear the ramblings of intoxicated people after they got off the elevator. I tried to have my room moved, but he said he couldn’t. The hotel did not appear to be sold out. It was very frustrating because I had an early morning flight.
I tried this one out, but I will return to the other Atlanta airports that I trust.
