Pros:

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das Abendessen im " Haupthaus" Velleda war sehr gut.

Cons:

Ich hatte im Hotel du Donon gebucht, stand aber vor verschlossener Tür. Ein Schild an der Tür gab Auskunft, dass man Schlüssel an der Rezeption des Hotel Velleda bekommt . Dort gab es auch Frühstück und Abendessen. Die Rezeption im Hotel Du Donon war nie besetzt - anscheinend nur von Donnerstag bis Sonntag.Es gibt keinen Ansprechpartner. Es wäre hilfreich , dass man diese Information vor der Buchung hat. Die Matratzen sind sehr durchgelegen. Nicht sehr bequem.
Das Hotel ist nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man gehbehindert ist.

Pros:

Très belle Chambre , confortable et fonctionnelle (placard, fauteuil, grand lit confortable, porte valise ...), très belle salle de bain moderne pratique et fonctionnelle. Accès à la piscine proche de notre chambre petit déjeuner très copieux , tres belles décorations

Eau un peu fraîche dans la piscine , carrelages muraux qui risquent de se décoller

Angenehme Zeit im Elsass
Pros:

Großes, frisch renoviertes Zimmer. Tolles Bad mit Regenwasserdusche. Es war alles sehr sauber. Ruhige Lage. Restaurant im Haus welches Abends sehr gut besucht war. Fast food ähnliches Essensangebot. Hat alles lecker geschmeckt und wir wurden freundlich bedient. Das Frühstück wurde im Hotel nebenan angeboten. Auch da stimmte die Qualität. Das Angebot war nicht überbordend aber die Standards inclusive einer super Brotauswahl waren vorhanden. 16 Euro für das Frühstück fanden wir angemessen und akzeptabel.

Frühstück im Hotel nebenan. Ca. 300 m Wegstrecke.

Cons:

La carte gastronomique du restaurant répond difficilement aux petits mangeurs et aux petits budgets . Plats et desserts très copieux.Parfait pour un très court séjour ou pour une sortie au restaurant exceptionnelle.

Tout s’est bien passé.
Le Donon est à rafraîchir, mais il reste propre.
Nous y avons très bien mangé, aussi bien là qu’au velleda, mais il est vrai que l’établissement du velleda est plus cosy.
Tout le personnel est sympathique et à l’écoute, la dame au service du petit déjeuner beaucoup moins.
Un immense merci aux cuisiniers du velleda, qui malgré notre retard d’une demi heure, nous sommes arrivés à 21h suite à un bouchon sur la route, est resté nous préparer un très bon repas, et ça pour 9 personnes.

Cons:

Dame du petit déjeuner peu sympathique....

Hotel à revoir, restauration au top.
Pros:

Le restaurant le Velleda, qui fait partie du complexe hotelier. Très bon dîner et petit déjeuner.
.

Cons:

L'hôtel est vieillissant et devrait pouvoir être modernisé. Les portes des chambres ferment mal, la literie des chambres triple sont à changer et le sol n'était pas propre. Bref à revoir totalement. De plus la réception du Donon se trouve au Velleda ; fallait le savoir!

J'avais demandé un pt déjeuner à 7h. J'avais appelé avant de venir pour qu'ils le notent, je l'ai redit la veille au soir et le gars de l'accueil l'a noté, mais le matin il n'y avait personne... j'ai du aller aux cuisines pour enfin trouver qqun à 7h20. Ce n'est pas tres grave mais sur le coip ca m'a un peu stressée. Les gens sont tres gentils quand meme.

Sehr leckeres Frühstück, freundliches Personal, meine nassen Wanderstiefel konnte ich zum Trocknen in den Heizungskeller stellen.

Cons:

Die Klimaanlage hat nicht richtig funktioniert, es war kalt im Zimmer, auch im Bad wurde es nicht richtig warm, da sich der Heizkörper nach kurzer Zeit immer wieder ausgeschaltet hat.

A good location for motorbike/car tourists in an area with plenty of scenic beauty and history
Pros:

The hotel is located on the main road by the turning to Col du Donon. There is a lot to explore near here, with plenty of history, scenic views, and great hikes. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good-sized bathroom containing a shower cubicle and a corner bath, both fairly new. As of September 2025, the hotel is being renovated, so some things are not operational, such as the restaurant and check-in desk. Check-in is therefore at the Hotel le Velleda, a short walk away.
Dinner at the Hotel le Velleda was superb, with a well-designed menu and delicious food. Portions are generous!

Cons:

It is currently being re-modeled and renovated, so some things aren't yet operational. Some of the room fittings are not done well, such as electrical sockets coming loose.

Pros:

We hebben uiteindelijk niet in Dublin maar susterhotel verdana gezeten. De sauna, de kamer en de locatie waren echt geweldig.

Cons:

Jammer dat je als gast extra bij moet betalen voor de sauna, badjas en slippers.
