Away from all the noise, room was great shower was dirty had mold spots on the wall asked for room service once but I guess they don’t scrub the walls 😅 if you have bolt app you can get a ride in minutes which was great, location is more peaceful but there is no 7 eleven near by to go get snacks to avoid room service prices, POOL AREA: really nice views & private just know water is freezing since it’s shaded lol and there are a lot of lizards but they do keep the mosquitoes away 😅 you will have to download the hotel app to order room service and rides to the lobby,towels etc. we had building J and the walk was steep and slippery in some spots. only walked that once 😆

Disappointed for a 5-star expectation.
Pros:

I feel betrayed as I booked a 5-star hotel from hotel.com. This property is nowhere near a 5 from what I experienced there.
Had to call for help with luggage from my car as I arrived. The Check-in took forever. My room was in building B, which was walks away from the main area and restaurant. You take a shuttle to get to breakfast. Spider webs, water pools, condensates on walls, smelly in the walkways to the room.
Room: Average. Counters in room weren’t clean. Sink faucet so flashy that water pooled everywhere. Towel shelf broken and hanging. Floor remains slippery from condensation.
Called three times for a room service to get a robe replaced and weigh machine battery replaced. During check-out waited half hour for bell boy, finally taking the baggage by just ourselves.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are expecting a pleasant 5-star experience.

Amazing value for such a premium property! We were automatically upgraded during our August ‘25 stay and thoroughly enjoyed the serene spaciousness of our ocean-view, private pool room.

Only downside was the time it took for hotel cars to come get us when called. We ended up walking down the slopes at times rather than wait around so not too big a deal. Wyndham Grand is also not within walking distance of marts or food vendors so be prepared to call a Grab (Asia’s version of Uber) or order from the hotel’s 24-hour room service.

A gem of a place in Phuket and definitely recommend for a romantic getaway or even for young families (they had fun floaties to use at the community pool :)

It was extremely beautiful, the ocean view was amazing the swimming pool in the room was perfect! They always were available for any questions or concerns, very professional and helpful! The floating breakfast and all the meals in general was delicious fresh and filling! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious time and definitely would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay here @ the Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay. From GM Dom to Front Desk Best and Restaurant Manager Egg to our fantastic hostess Pond we were made to feel very welcome and treated with the upmost courtesy throughout our stay. The resort has fantastic amenities and there are numerous cafe and restaurants nearby which have fantastic views across the bay. We leave with fantastic memories of a wonderful vacation in a truly magnificent location.

As I was looking forward to staying at this hotel I was highly disappointed in the big infestation, baby spiders were all over our bed, I got bitten over 20 times and it wasn’t enjoyable. The hotel itself is very beautiful. Also the water was yellow. Very disappointing and all they offered was a $60 discount in US dollars how insulting

I enjoyed the in room dining service, it was very convenient. The staff were very hospitable and warm. The hotel room was nice and large, comfortable bedding and I enjoyed the tv channels available as well as the coffee and tea. It was also close to patong beach and to the tour booking facilities.

My best friend and i stayed at this hotel to celebrate our 40th birthdays in Phuket. The hotel is beautiful and they have great staff and services all around. The shuttle is very convenient and cheap, Patong beach and Patong city are both close by.

But what makes this hotel and experience far above any other stay anywhere else comes down to one single person, Pond. Pond is the executive secretary and is by far one of the best people we've ever met. We have traveled all over the world ans no one shines Pond. We met her on our first morning there while having breakfast at the Latitude restaurant at the hotel. She instantly greeted us with a smile and warm kindness. She chatted with us and gave us recommendations on things to do around the island. We asked her about one specific breakfast bread we loved a pervious morning and she instandly had the kitchen make it fresh for us! She would always bring us our morning coffees, had to go cups ready to go for us with our favorite iced tea, and even had our favorite breakfast bread ready for us on our final morning. She waited for us at check out and walked us to our taxi. While we loved every part of our 5 days in Phuket, we loved Pond even more. We will truly miss Pond, the rest of the kind staff, at this hotel even more than the rest of beautiful Thailand. This was the trip of a lifetime for us ao far and Pond was the shining star in it all. Whenever we return to Phuket, we will return to this hotel and to Pond.

The property is in a quiet and convenient location; you can easily grab a ride share whenever you’re ready. Majority of the staff work extremely hard to meet your needs. I reserved the pool room and enjoyed it better than the hotel main pool. The best part about this hotel is the food. Everything ordered from room service and the breakfast buffet was amazing. I hate they badgered me about purchasing a timeshare, I’m on vacation and I don’t want to be hassled. Also, there are gnats in the room that were annoying at times.
