This is my second long term stay at La Perle Hotel, Huê, Vietnam. I arrived Feb. 10th, 2020 and will depart the end of March.
There’s a Sign above the reception desk that reads: Come as a guest and leave as a friend. Nothing could be more true.
This boutique hotel has much to offer in the way of comforts. The breakfast menu is continental with some Vietnamese dishes, too. There’s fruit juice, smoothies and very good Vietnamese coffee, to start your day off on the right foot.
If you would like a cup of coffee, fruit juice, a smoothie or plate of fresh fruit anytime during the day, all you have to do is ask! Compliments of the hotel.
As I said in my first review: there’s a reason La Perle has consistently high reviews. Read them and you’ll find out why.

Hotel says breakfast supplied between 6-9am, you go there room in darkness, when you walk in 4 people follow you in, you look puzzled as everything in darkness. After trying many options of asking what is for breakfast you ask for manager, who tries to understand what you want, in the end regardless of what you asked for or agreed to get, you get fried egg & 3 pieces of warmed bread!!- telling many people don't bother. Shower has mould in all corners. Cleaning staff are very good. Many power points don't work, when told about it, nothing done. We booked 4 days & left after 3.
A good central hotel at a good price that's ideal for a traveller on short hop travel like myself.
Some of the fixtures and fittings could do with replacing rather than mending but it is what it says it is.
Central and budget friendly and obviously there's noisy traffic during the daytime but quite quiet at night
Arrived with reserved room not available, and only have double single bed for the base or 2nd floor option. end up with 5th floor that had no wifi access. Bathroom was not cleaned with dirty towels on the flush tank, and dampen towels on the rack; in addition, toilet was not flushed cleaned after used by previous guest. We did not have a full or at least a half of toilet roll, that we had to call the receptionist to request for the new roll toward the evening and it took almost two hours for it to be delivered. There was an electric kettle, and cups but no Coffee or Tea bag furnished like other 3 stars hotels, I called the receptionist and she said, I had to buy it myself instead.
My door lock was not functioned. Bed linen was dirty and full of chemical-like smelling. Shower tap was broken and stick by adhesive tape. One light bulb was not functioning in the toilet so the environment was extremely dim. Air con was unable to stop dripping. However, the location was good. Extremely close to Big C supermarket but noises from the road can last the whole night long.
Stayed for one night with my fiancee and was glad to leave! When getting taxis to and from the hotel nobody knew it by this name, but by Hue Smile Hotel (which is still on the building) and has terrible reviews. The hotel itself smells of mould/damp and the sofa in the lobby smelled of urine! While room was spacious it was not well maintained, well in need of an update. The bath was cracked and the lights didn't work. Breakfast was either ramen or an egg. While the staff were friendly and polite, I wouldn't choose to stay here again!
