So lucky to have stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Perfectly located within walking distance from the station and into the centre. Attentive and friendly staff and fantastic, spacious rooms - could not fault our stay. The breakfast was amazing with a varied selection to choose from. We hope to go back.

Everything what you expect from a good hotel. Spacious room, big and comfortable bed, fridge, ironing board in the room, big bathroom, good shower.
An obscure £30 deposit is taken from your credit card when checking-in despite prepayment of the entire room rate. It is not a problem, but why?

We had a beautiful experience in Cambridge and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel is perfectly located, within easy walking distance of everything the city has to offer, making it incredibly convenient to explore Cambridge on foot.
What truly made our stay special, though, was the exceptional staff. Every team member we interacted with was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Joe at the front desk, and to Kelly, Dima, and Joao at the restaurant. They were always friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. Their positive attitude and wonderful energy made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The combination of a fantastic location and such outstanding hospitality made this a memorable stay. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and would gladly return on my next visit to Cambridge.

Staff were so kind, and the upgrade was sooo appreciated. The hotel itself was lovely, and an ideal location close to the station for us coming from London.

The location. The hotel was better when it was the Tamburlaine. I have stayed in the majority of 4 and 5 star hotels in Cambridge and this was disappointing.
We came to Cambridge as my daughter had an exam the following morning- we were tired having come from Lindon and been in the studio all day with my daughter we wanted to come the room order a meal and relax in bed and watch the TV using the cast option from our phones - we didn't bother to bring laptops or iPad just our phones as we were only here for the night for a purpose. The first room , cast option didn't work , changed rooms TV didn't work again. We were asked if we want to love again my daughter wanted to Antonine said he would get back to us - he never did.
Everything seemed run down and tired. Stains everywhere and the rooms didn't smell fresh. The receptionist was off putting his manner in general we were so hot and tired, my phone switched off suddenly as I was about to pay £30 for incidentals for one night and I was trying to swiftly sort this out- the staff member on reception wasn't happy to wait a few moments despite the hotel being empty ! He was unpleasant overall.
The bed is too soft , the additional pillows they provided were like air bags like a hospital bed! Oh yes - when they changed our room they put us in a superior apparently but for us we would rather have been in the same room with a working TV ! Very basic request - they blamed the issue on a some sort of power issue a week earlier . Wasn't convinced.
Woke up with a sore neck feeling disappointed by the stay.
Thank you to Joe and all the staff for an upgrade on our stay! It was a lovely surprise for our first visit in Cambridge. The hotel was perfect for our needs - close to the station, comfortable, clean, and we both had an excellent night’s sleep.
