Close to Emsworth harbour
It's a very busy pub
Room was lovely - although shower water slow to warm up!
Very comfortable bed - v important!
Didn't stop for breakfast but dinner was excellent.
Staff all very welcoming
Very clean and tidy. Very cosy room. Staff were brilliant and food was amazing.
Excellent value and comfortable
Nothing
I really loved the the music playing in the room as you arrive with dimmed lights and hand-written welcome note. That was really lovely and more than you'd get in some excellent hotels.
Nothing I'd care to note.
Room nice and comfy. Bed extremely comfortable, wanted to take it home with me😉
Staff very friendly
We been given the wrong room but that wasn’t a huge issue . We been offered a little discount instead and we were happy about it .
The bed was really comfy and slept very well and accomodating staff.
Breakfast good, dinner good. Room not so good.
I didn’t like being given a room designed for a person in a wheelchair/ disabled.
Breakfast by order!., we had not paid in advance as were aware of this system. The room was superb. Could not be bettered. Also had evening meal. It got quite busy while we were there. The staff were lovely and friendly. We were delighted to be close to bus stops with very regular service to Chichester or Portsmouth. A train station in Emsworth which is a couple or so stops from the Ropemaker. A lovely garden to sit with a pot of tea.
Room….no hot water for shower prior to evening meal or early morning hand wash. Very hot later. Mentioned before we left after just one night. Scrambled egg with chopped chives was very nice but just one slice of thin white toast?? Evening meal was amusing to us as we struggled with the menu and French (?) culinary terms. We do not watch foodie programmes.
Room 5 was lovely.
No heating in the room but that was ok.
Room 6 was lovely and very warm with nice patio doors to sit outside.
Breakfast the second day was second to none - absolutely wonderful.
The Roast dinner on the second day was absolutely wonderful too.
Room 5 could have done with another chair as the bench a bit uncomfortable to site on.
No heating in the room but that was ok. Could have done with more toilet roll in the room on day two.
Breakfast was not so nice on the first day, the sourdough bread was very hard and could not be eaten.
Dinner on day on was Chateau Brianne - very expensive for two pots of chips, half as tomato each with couple cloves of garlic in one and a pot of sauce which we were supposed to share and was tiny.
Very clean and well looked after
Nothing
Location, staff, cleanliness and style.
My room was really hot overnight even though the radiators were switched off. I think it was above the kitchen? Fan in the room helped.
