Fabulous place, staff were lovely and the room was spacious and extremely comfortable
We took our dog and whilst there is a garden there are no poo bins. A bin would be very useful and would prevent people from leaving piles of full dog poo bags

Love the food the staff and the location. The rooms are amazing perfect for our stay it's our 2nd time as The RopeMaker. We used to come before.
We got a garden facing room this Easter weekend and we were very disappointed that from before lunch until almost 10pm at night music from the pub/restaurant could be heard in our room. We went out and come back for the evening to relax and the music was still audible. The website states a relaxing stay which was not the case. We love the place and live music fine as it's advertised but constant background pub music that can be heard even if Windows are closed not acceptable. It was warm so the doors were left open to the garden. I think people should be made aware if this is pub policy to have music playing all day.We will come back but will be requesting quieter room facing the other way.
The staff were incredibly helpful, the rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the facilities were 10/10. We travelled with two dogs and everything was completely faultless.
Faultless. Incredible stay and went well beyond expectations which is very rare. A true gem. Highly highly recommended. Free upgrade on arrival too, huge thanks for that kindness too.

I really loved the the music playing in the room as you arrive with dimmed lights and hand-written welcome note. That was really lovely and more than you'd get in some excellent hotels.
