A great location for a stopover en route from Bristol to the Highlands. I also liked the generous lounge and seating areas and the convenient car parking on site

Excellent overnight stay, couldn't have been made more welcome with our two puppies.

Lots of modern facilities but no instructions on how to use them. i.e TV, coffee machine, air con, heating.

The restaurant serves great food, but is a bit on a slow side.
They ran out of pastries in the first 15 minutes of opening for breakfast and we were told the new batch would take another 20 minutes.

Lovely staff on arrival front desk and house team
When leaving the member of staff demanded 20 pounds for the dog in the room when the lovely lady the night before said we didn't need to pay for the dog this was not fair we were very happy up to this point and explained other hotels near like the howard does not charge for the dog. She insisted we pay or the staff member will have to out of their own pocket. I paid to stop the poor girl having to. This is blackmail in my eyes. Don't think we will stay again which is a shame as this is my 10th time of staying

& lovely food, it was the full package!
Location we wanted. Stayed before.
Our room had a sewer smell. Mentioned to staff told they have tried to resolve but happens when it rains. Hotel quiet so not sure why we were put in this room.
