It’s quite far from the city centre
Loved the staff, the rooms were spacious and the beautiful terrace library on the top floor was a treat. We loved our stay and looking forward to coming back again sometime soon.
The only aspect that would be a worth looking into a having a sign near the rounabouts and also the signane closer to the property to be lit as we ended up going through the back route as the SatNav doesn't take you through the main road.

The Fleece is excellence in every way. The welcome was warm & professional & the room was of fabulous in every way (really comfortable bed, huge bathroom, countryside views). We booked for dinner and that was top notch too. Unsurprisingly so was breakfast the next morning which was organised by a super friendly lady from Spain.

Our stay at the Fleece was nothing short of fantastic. The warm and friendly staff were exceptional. I mentioned it was my partner's birthday and the staff bent over backwards to make our stay special with a complimentary upgrade on our room and even gifted us with homemade chocolates. We were blown away. Both evening meal and breakfast were excellent and we slept so well on our super-comfy bed. Well done to everyone at The Fleece and we are already looking forward to coming back. 10/10.
There was absolutely nothing we didn't like about our stay here.
Lovely spacious room with patio doors and a funky high powered shower. Dog package was fantastic. Communal area with atrium and library were beautiful and very relaxing. Food was really good and fairly priced, especially breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The large, deluxe double room (best in house) was restful and the additional space was expertly used to advantage creating a feeling of understated yet elegant comfort. The large double bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room was everything we had hoped for. The feature roll-top bath was wonderful, though the plumbing arrangements in the shower cubicle created a less favourable impression - more for ‘style’ than for practical use. The public rooms and other facilities all top line and met our expectations.
The restaurant menu is not extensive and maybe a better range of vegan/vegetarian meals would be appreciated by customers. We were not specifically asked about allergies. But the meals we ordered were expertly cooked, nicely presented and delicious. Portion size was good, not over-generous or fashionably small. An off-menu breakfast item request was happily accommodated.
