Breakfast was great, a good range of choice and timely service.
All staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing.
It was not necessary as we were only staying for two nights, but our towels were changed for fresh ones.
The cups and glasses in our room were not replaced with freshly cleaned ones but rinsed and replaced, this was apparent as some tea marks from our use were still visible when we returned to our room. The Tea/coffee caddy was not replenished.
Fantastic large comfy bed, fabulous shower, beautiful decor and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is superb, we ate in the restaurant but the very spacious bar area is also lovely. Plenty space outside to park and not too far from the motorway.
Beautiful location, gorgeous well sized rooms, great food, dog friendly, great lounge and library for working or leisure, fantastic service, convenient for Carlisle, great value

A really lovely hotel where no expense has been spared to make it both attractive and comfortable. The staff were both efficient and friendly. No hesitation I’m recommending The Fleece.
Nothing our stay was perfect
Our room was beautiful, the bathroom was fabulous, as were the communal areas. The Sunday lunch was excellent in quality and quantity
The buffet breakfast was a bit limited, for example in choice of cereals and bread Also we struggled with the heating/air conditioning controls for our room, so it was actually too cold . Some instructors would be helpful (although we should have contacted reception to get assistance).

shower, uncomfortable bath, food [undercooked chicken is never good...]...
The quality of the room and indeed the hotel were superb
The dining room staff were ill trained, we had to wait 50 minutes to be served our cooked breakfast. If this wasn't bad enough we had to wait an hour to be served our dinner after giving our order. On check out I raised this with the manager and he was quite off hand, "You got your food and you ate it" and when I said that we wouldn't be returning he responded with "I wouldn't want you" - great customer service!

A great location for a stopover en route from Bristol to the Highlands. I also liked the generous lounge and seating areas and the convenient car parking on site
