Pros:

There was not much that I liked but the fact that It has good bones and good location but it needs a major remodeling and renovation everywhere. Employee are nice and accommodating with what they have to work with.

Cons:

Too many things to list that I didn’t like but here are a few . Completely outdated facility , bathroom in my room was a joke assuming that they are all like that ,moldy grout around bath tub and missing grout on the floor, stains on walls, spiders and spiders webs on the window , stained bed sheets that I got changed by the front desk employee, window that can only be open 1 inch because the rails are broken. Zoom on pictures so you a see ! restaurants and food is a disaster I felt like I was transported in the 90s , breakfast is bad ….I don’t understand why some people think it is good ?? all pastries are horrible, I could tell they buy everything so at least buy good stuff…. Scones are terrible ! We are in Ireland !! It isn’t difficult to make a good scone.
This place is a disgrace for the hospitality industry, and this is unfair for the people that are working there . Ownership needs to invest in the place and bring it back quickly to an acceptable level so guest don’t have to experience this. They also need to invest in employee training , lots of them had no clue what they were doing although they have good intensions just no direction and leadership.

Excellent hotel in a great location
Pros:

The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and all staff very helpful and courteous in particular a lovely lady called Alice.

Pros:

Stunning location but I missed out on room with a sea view which I thought I'd get by choosing a room with king bed

Cons:

Thought some staff could be more engaging/friendly. Thought daily rate for B&B very expensive in absence of room with a sea view. Thought quality of cooked breakfast/presentation poor. Also a course my wife chose in dining room was tough & unattractively presented. Our bedroom had two lights not functioning which were brought to attention of hotel but not fixed until the next day. Hooks behind bathroom door at about 6 foot height- too high for use. Pull switch for light in vanity unit too high for some.

Not what I expected out of 4 star hotel
Pros:

The ladies at breakfast were very nice rest of staff not friendly at all.

Cons:

After having booked a king room with a sea view we were put at the side of the hotel over looking a dirt track and overflow car park room was a double room not king.. bar staff rude.. food just ok.. prices expensive

Great Location, Tired Hotel
Pros:

The location is incredible, with easy access to the Green Way, Achill, Clew Bay Newport and West Port.
Room was ok, bed was very comfortable,

Cons:

The hotel is tired and in need of a freshen up.

In the rooms however they have these strange plug sockets in the rooms which are compatible with neither Irish/UK, European nor American plugs, which is very inconvenient
