Great Experience
Pros:

If you do not speak Chinese and do not have a phone finding this hotel is very difficult. I was charged twice on top of what I had already paid with Expedia, so beware of the extra expense. Since English/Chinese was a barrier it took about an hour to find it. The hotel is not a hotel but an apartment set in a building complex which I found a great experience as this is how many Chinese people live. One of the double beds was very hard and it was like sleeping on a concrete floor. The kitchen did not have cutlery or many plates. The shops were excellent, not many restaurants around. We caught buses to see the pandas which was a great way to see the city and inexpensive. I enjoyed the experience regardless of the obstacles. This area is not in the city centre, it is in a middle class area of the city.
