Great Weekend
Pros:

The staff was professional and helpful. We loved the room & shower.

Cons:

I didn't like that I was charged a pet fee of $75. No one told me I would be charged $75 for my 14 year old terrier who slept on her blankets while I was there. Two websites for Home Suites said Pet Friendly and didn't mention a fee. That is why I selected your hotel. I'll stay somewhere else next time when I travel with Lucy who doesn't have a fee like La Quinta. If you need to charge a fee, $75 is outrageous.

Cons:

bathroom not so clean. The shower needs to be kept free of grim and the shower head needs to be replaced it is coated with slim and scale. It has not been cleaned in some time. Also, Bathroom sink needs to be cleaned where the overflow hole is located slim and you can see the drain for it has not been cleaned at all.

It was average. Not what one would normally expect from Home2’s.
Pros:

Location was very close to the beach.

Cons:

Our room was half cleaned. There was hair on the towel in the bathroom. Hair in the tub. Old food from previous guest was left in the refrigerator.

In Need of a Good Cleaning
Pros:

Located on St. Simons Island with the island airport right next door. Rooms on the back side of hotel overlook the run way. Kind of fun watching these small jets come and go. The outdoor pool is the shape of a small airplane! Our room was just ok. Bed was very soft on one side. So bad that there was a hole, kept sinking into it. Ended up having to sleep in the middle of the bed. The bathroom definitely needs a good scrubbing. The soap scum on the shower door was so bad we could not see through it. The sink faucet also had a good amount of soap scum on it along with rust in the sink. We always check the amount of bathroom products before taking a shower. The shower gel was empty. Had to go downstairs and ask for a new one. The shower head is very old. The third floor hallway had no air conditioning, way hot and it smelled. It was 100 plus degrees outside. Being so close to the airport we really did not hear noise after ten o'clock pm. The best part of our stay was interacting with the two gentlemen at the front desk at check in and check out, Linny and Mike. We have stayed at this property in the past, this time we were very disappointed.

Pros:

Hotel is nicely landscaped. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and common areas. Typical breakfast was stocked daily and the attendant was attentive. The hotel is adjacent to a small airport, but there was no noise! The pool is small and the carpets, walls, and furnishings are starting to show some age. Easy access (quick drive) to the beach area and attractions. Overall a solid choice for the price point.

No Room Service or Late Checkout
Pros:

I stayed here for three nights and room service did not come once. When I brought it up, the seemed put out over bringing me some fresh towels. Then when I asked to extend checkout by an hour they said no.
