Very close to theatre, stations, bus stations and good value for money. I was sharing with a friend so I got twin beds

Central, simple, friendly.

Cons:

My room was too cold on a very cold day. I pointed this out to staff and they told me that the hotel is undergoing gradual refurbishment of all the rooms.

Good budget option for an overnight stay.

Cons:

Only found out at breakfast time that breakfast isn't included if booked through booking.com, £11 extra, I was under the impression it was included.

Good value for a basic, no-nonsense city sleepover.
Pros:

Point A is usually good value and often has the best deal for central Glasgow (unless Glasgow is having a crazy hotel price week - which can be quite often!) The location is excellent.

Cons:

The rooms are starting to show a bit of wear and tear. This is mostly due to the shelves and wall panels delaminating.

Disappointing

We arrived at reception at about 4pm on the 4th of March. The receptionist asked for my name, looked at the computer and said that I hadn't paid. I said that I had. She then said that she was looking at the name above mine and confirmed that I had in fact paid. We were then given our access card - Room 321. We made our way up to the third floor. All the carpets in the passage had been lifted and our shoes were sticking to the glue on the floor as we walked. We made our way to room 321, opened the door and stared in amazement at a room with all the furniture covered in plastic. We made our way back to reception. The receptionist said that she had written the number incorrectly. It should have been room 231. We clearly had a dyslexic receptionist.
We made our way to the correct room. It was clean but it was tired. The walls were dirty, the one small shelf water damaged and I can only describe it is tacky. The reason I had booked at Point A Hotel was that I had stayed there a couple of weeks before and I had a really nice room.
All in all, it was disappointing.
