The pool wasn’t available during my stay, despite being advertised on Booking.com.
The room was very good
The hot water in the bath was not hot enough and there was no fresh fruit at breakfast.
The place is outstanding the only negative was that the infinity pool was closed for maintenance but other than that the place is outstanding
Infinity pool closed
Comfortable bed, room was nice, good location
No infinity pool access available and was misleading upon booking, no terrace access due to private functions and only aware upon arrival. Had to find alternative places in the city.
Decoration was very smart and the room was very comfortable.
The rooms and the staff very friendly
Everything
Lovely hotel in the heart of Manchester. Comfortable room.
Everything was what i expected as i think this was my 5th visit at this hotel.
Stayed at King Street a few times over the years and it’s always been well kept, incredibly polite and helpful staff
Only thing that disappointed me during this stay is the fact the pool was closed (we were made aware but only after booking, essential maintenance which is fair enough and can’t be avoided), weren’t made aware that the showing of the football was a ticket only event when we were turned away from watching it, and also we went up to the terrace bar hoping to catch a drink and a chill before checking out, only to again be removed as it was closed for a private event but again weren’t told of this, and then to top it off we’d added a late check out but our room card stopped working meaning we got temporarily stuck in the lift or couldn’t get back into the room so we checked out some 20 odd minutes past 11 and were still charged for the hour.
Slightly disappointed in the services this time round however don’t let it take anything away from the fact it’s a gorgeous hotel in an ideal location, with incredibly helpful staff and porters
The room
No pool facilties for £185 a night
The spa downstairs is lovely.
Rooftop pool was closed. Toilet hadn't been cleaned with excrement stains in toilet when we arrived. Wanted to use the bath in the morning before work and the plug was broken and wouldn't fill up. The standalone bath was one of the main reasons for the stay. The "non-stick" iron burnt my shirt the second it touched it, i didn't check but it looked like something had been burnt with it before and not being cleaned, which in turn burnt my shirt before work needing me to nip to slaters in the morning Last time I rated it 10/10 when I stayed, but this time it was absolutely awful.
Location was good a short walk to everything, I found all the staff to be polite and helpfull
Roomwas tiny, bathroom was also small. Pool was closed (one of the reasons I booked this hotel). Price was ridiculous, aircon could not be turned off
