Tolle Lage - Nähe Bahnhof - würde wieder hier nächtigen, wenn ich in Zürich bin.

Not worth the quirkiness
Pros:

I was really looking forward to my stay here, but I was very disappointed - this is unfortunately the kind of place that overcharges you and under-serves.

1) rude/ unhelpful service - while there is no room service and you need to go to the reception for basic amenities, I was really taken aback by the rudeness of the person at reception, who seemed very annoyed when I went down for a second time for a request - I empathise that we are all human, and he was perhaps having a bad day, but being rude to a guest (who was spending 400 CHF a night) is not acceptable. I would be recommending my husband and his company who regularly stay here to diversify their hotel bookings.
2) Aircon and train noise - like many reviews mention, there is no Aircon and the room was overheated on a day that was not unusually warm outside. Opening the windows lead to noise, so either way you don't sleep well. This, together with the rude staff make it definitely not worth the money - please look for other options.

And yes, the hotel decoration is quirky but does very little to compensate for the rest.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a short city stay.
Pros:

The room was really nice. A bit of a strange layout with the bathroom, but a very nice use of the space in general. The breakfast was also really nice.
Overall, very comfortable and not at all what I was expecting.

Cons:

The floor of the shower was likely the wrong material and the door to the shower did a poor job keeping the water in. Plus the drain in the shower was slow. There was pooling, which also didn't help the water remain in the shower.

Hyvä suihku ja erillinen WC. Hyvä ilmastointi.

Cons:

Huono valaistus, pöytä puuttui, huoneessa vaarallinen kynnys keskellä huonetta. Jääkaappi vähän tehoton.
